The reason I'm saying that the Rumble Regalia keeps them on the ground is that they can't manipulate the air currents at all. Flame is about manipulating the air through heat, Lather is mixing the air with water, Sonia is manipulating the air inside one's own body. Rumble is different. Rumble is designed to counter air-based moves.
I'd rather say that Buccha will go for a Tank-based Jade Road, making it more like a "Tank Road/Off-road". Yup, I think it will be his own personal road, not one of the big 8. Even Ikki have his own road and he is a King.
the jade road is a combo of the gaia road and the wing road I don't know much about the gaia road but I know that buccha knows nothing about flying thats the reason he is a wallrider he sucks at jumping and flying.
buccha's road will have something to do with the over road you can't change that but he will combine it with something else and we don't know that so you can't say that his road has nothing to do with the with the original 8.
look, the over road need specific at parts, just like the bloody or rising roads...and buccha doesn't have those special parts specific for the over road, nor did he ever even showed any interest for it...
he's never shown us anything that would make him an over road rider, nor anything close to it...just because he's big and he's a member of koga doesn't mean he will become a king, let alone a king riding one of the 8 traditional roads(especially when he doesn't ride any such roads to begin with)
he doesn't have the part YET and he hasn't shown interest YET and its clear that at the end of air gear all the members of koga will be king and I said he would take the over road and ad something not that he would take the original road.
I agree with KillerB in that all Koga Riders will end up as kings. Buccha fits over-road, as he can force people to play his game (wall-riding and brute strength) while eliminating his biggest weakness (air-type moves: he lost to Ikki due to that, got beaten up against Slepnir 'cause of it...)
It would be a little ridiculous to have everybody in Koga become kings in such a short time. In the AG time frame this tournament may last a week at the most. It took Ikki and Kazu months to show their abilities to be kings. You expect Buccha and the others to become kings in only a week or so. Buccha becoming a king in such a short time when it took even the main character months would be ridiculous. Not saying that OG won't do it just saying it would be rather ridiculous.
Well back when Spitfire died and his VR doppleganger was training them he'd said Buccha had the skills to potentially rival a king but he was too brash and thoughtless in battle to utilize them correctly. Which is why Buccha underwent all that Buddhist training with his dad.
in the future (not anytime soon), buccha could very well be a king. however, why does it have to be somehow related to the original 8 and branch roads? there are many roads out there, and the only genuine regalias out there just happen to be specifically geared towards wind/air manipulation in some form or another. buccha's lack of (wind related/manipulating) tricks and/or motivation simply gives more reason that he would not fall into 8 original roads and branches.
the over road isn't just a defensive/counter type, and it doesn't necessarily keep other riders grounded. in the devil 30-30, ikki was stopped when yoshi absorbed the fang he was riding and countered... but could the rumble regalia do anything when ikki was jumping on his own? highly unlikely, as light breezes or even still air would give the rumble regalia nothing to work with. heck, even with the absorbed wind, yoshi had to use a lot of power in his kick to shoot it out. they described the rumble regalia and over road as a windmill theory. which means, without an actual (and strong enough) wind source, the regalia is pretty much useless. dontores used sound vibrations (of his voice) and the tunnel's circulating wind currents as the basis of his 'audience' attack, whereas yoshi used the regalia only when countering (the rest of the time was his uber skills of a-t tricks/fighting).
anyone could probably use the rumble regalia easily enough if all they have to do is absorb attacks, but the two previous rumble kings had offensive capabilities as well in conjunction with the over road. you can't just name buccha a rider of one of the 8 original roads and branches if he only fits half the bill.
on a final note, it would be better story-wise if buccha was not riding one of the 8 roads because it would prove that other roads are just as effective/powerful as the 'original 8'. currently now, the top teams are filled with riders based on the original 8 and branch roads, so wouldn't it be nice to see something really different rise into the ranks of the elite?
well, if you consider that pretty much all this new GC we've seen have their own roads, it makes perfect sense for buccha to have his own unique road, and advance in it to the level of a king
a tank king of the destruction road would be fun
reasons why buccha should take the over road(or at least half of it)
1. he has almost no defense against air based attacks with regalia he has.
2. the over road is know as the best suited road for power riders(yoshi didn't need to be a power rider cuz he was a genius and used strategy)
3. by taking the over road buccha would learn a lot of new power tricks.
4. when battling a person who loves to fly buccha could take his wind and attack him with it.
It's not unfeasible that Buccha could become the Rumble King of Koga but I'd kinda like to see him take his own road, something more combat-oriented since that seems to be his specialty in the role of Koga, he's the striker, the powerhouse, etc.
1. his sheer mass (and fighting experience) can withstand most wind based attacks.
2. the over road isn't the power type among the original 8 roads. dontores was already like that (he didn't use his strength except when buccha came in close and then had no choice), and yoshi needed only a powerful kick because of the way his regalia was designed. the over road is about using what's around (wind currents) and given (wind related attacks) to you and absorbing and/or reflecting back. its a turbine-like mechanism.
3. buccha could learn a bunch of new tricks. i'm not gonna argue this one
4. if a person is flying from some jumping trick, then the rumble regalia can't do anything to stop that. unless they happened to be riding one hell of a wind gust or attack like a fang. otherwise, any rider would not be affected in flying and at best could only be stopped from approaching closer with a barrier that dontores was able to use.
spitfire did use time techniques, though it did little to help him or he was trying to buy time for kazu to get away... but as it is a branch off of the flame road he is not as super skilled in it as aeon was who built his style of fighting around time techniques. spitfire was more honed to the flame aspect over the time aspects of the flame road.
and buccha's uber physical power does not fit the other half of the bill. he still lacks a means to use the over road tricks in an offensive manner. yoshi and dontores proved being able to use wind related attacks. dontores didn't use power to use his regalia or over road offensively, yoshi had a different design and used it with powerful kicks but the power in this case was used to withstand and push through an incoming attack while his regalia absorbed it. raw strength with no wind related trick does not qualify the use of a regalia designed for wind related uses. buccha needs to at least demonstrate an inkling of technique that is based upon one of the 8 original roads and branches before we can start connecting him to one. even kazu demonstrated using the flame road before being a 'true' successor to the flame king title. spitfire said that buccha had what it takes to rival a king, but not once did he mention any particular road (among the original 8).
