It says so at the end of chapter 126. For the slow, it contains SPOILERS! At that point, there's no need to further the plot, won't deny I was suprised as well.

Yes, I already know that part. I don't want to repeat my point again, so see what I wrote on the Claymore chapter 126 thread.

One Piece Manga is 1st to Sell 100 Million Since 2008

    Quote Quote:
In the May 14 edition of its book sales rankings, Oricon reports that the 66th One Piece manga volume, which was released on May 2, sold 2,275,453 copies to become the top-selling comic of the week and the fifth consecutive One Piece volume to sell over 2 million copies in its first week.

After this week's sales, Oricon has calculated that over 100 million copies of One Piece have been sold in four years — making it the first series in any book category to break 100 million in sales since the company began publishing its ranking charts in April 2008. (Oricon does not report on sales figures before April 2008.) 4 million copies of the 66th volume were printed in total, making it the third consecutive One Piece volume to receive a first printing of that scale.

It's interesting that Vinland Saga won the award this year. The story has been stuck in what fans call "Farmland Saga" for at least this entire year (I think) and most fans seem to be at best indifferent to it. I don't agree, I think the manga has been as strong as it has ever been.

after reading it i now understand the term farmland saga. i thought it would mean something like fanservice in regard of only battle scences like bleach did it. but the last chapter i read looked like the farmland part will turn into a bloody gore festival.

Hanma Baki will be ending in ten chapters or less. full story. Mangaka Keisuke Itagaki will serialize Kizuzura, a Baki Grappler spin off, and says he may return to the Baki character at some point in the future.

Re: General Manga News and Announcements

I was surprised to find out Baki Gaiden:Scarface and the upcoming Kizuzuru aren't drawn by Itagaki himself. The guy who does them does a really good job at emulating Itagaki's style. He must have been his assistant or something.

Aw. I read this for a while and liked it. Surprised it ran so long but seemingly isn't getting an anime adaption.
