I've been thinking that death is bound to happen in any story. Sometimes it is necessary (I may sound heartless saying it like that, but hey, it's true), sometimes it is unnecessary. I've seen a thread for favorite death (wow, it sounds heartless without context) but I haven't seen any for hated death though all of us surely wishes that some deaths didn't happen.
Among the numerous deaths you've read/watch in anime/manga, which one(s) that you particularly hate?
Is it because it is unnecessary? Or because it is necessary?
Or you just hate how the death happened? Or because it happened to a character you like?
Is it because it is really sad and tragic? That you will always tear up at the mention of the character's death?
For me, there are two so far, because I really, really hate them and they are truly sad.
First is in Shinsekai Yori:
Second is in Pandora Hearts:

Even though there are many deaths that are sad, thankfully in anime and manga, there aren't a lot of deaths I particularly hate. It's usually because it serves some purpose to the plot or a character. However, there are several which I'm perplexed by.
For me, it was from Psycho-Pass
