*thinks about Silen's offer and imagines the following:*
chaos: Silen, I can't bare to tell him myself, but ... could you tell Shinji I love him?
Erm ... I think I'll stick to my thanks
Yeah, Golden 23 is going on awesome, I like it very much.
*holds in urge to start assaulting Takahashi for wasting half the chapter on Tsubasa again*
Go Futsal Combi!!! Love these guys
I really hope these lads end up getting enough screen time, because as we know, new characters are always hyped up in the beginning, but in some cases (Akai) they kind of get lost later. Of course, there's the likes of Aoi, so all those offensive players (Tachibanas and Sorimachi) looking to be retrained into defensive ones could very well mean a constantly starting Furukawa and Kazami
I don't like the idea of the futsal combi joining Japan.
Some older characters of the old golden age have an opportunity to shine offensively without Tsubasa, Hyuga and Aoi (not counting Akai and Wakabayashi since they are the defensive type) and if those futsal guys are starting members and if they keep on shining like Aoi did, they're going to steal that from them. Aoi and Akai already stole the job that could have been performed by other players in World Youth...
Not to mention that there will be even less room for the old golden age players when Tsubasa and the others come back.
And in addition, there's the rest of the RJ11...
On top of that, there could be overage players (maybe Igawa Hayato...)
I wouldn't like to see a Japan team with all of them, because: with Tsubasa, Wakabayashi, Hyuga, Misaki, Aoi, Akai, Futsal combi, 2 unknown RJ11, Igawa Hayato...
There's no room left for everyone else!
I like the idea of them joining Japan, although not becoming permanent first team players. Got a bit carried away at the end with that 'could very well mean a constantly starting Furukawa and Kazami' statement, but what I really meant was it's good to have some fresh blood with new skills. On one hand, Takahashi could have made, for example, Taki and Izawa join a futsal club and show the skills Furukawa and Kazami are showing right now, but I really enjoy these two new faces.
Now Kira can make some interesting tactical decisions for the starting line-up or during the games, instead of relying on the 'old' selections. And considering the camp has just started, there's still time for all of the less featured players to show their worth. I think now is the time for those playing offensively against Furukawa and Kazami to display their improvements ... and that includes Nitta
They should do their job in Futsal saloons not here, I hope they lose their current popularity and we see Golden Age members in Japan uniform.
And yeah, let's talk about Nitta, how much chance does he have to be forward if the 2 futsal combi players are forward as some people suggested? Japan hardly ever uses a 3 top formation.
What I find annoying is that because of all the offensive players japan currently has, some players are staying in the shadows (Nitta, Sorimachi, Sano, Sawada, the Tachibanas) or are converted to defense (Matsuyama, Misugi, the Tachibanas), and even when Tsubasa and the likes aren't here... It looks like they will just be replaced by the newcomers (either in position or goals or focus during matches) instead of seeing the old golden age back to their original position, or with their former glory.
I do not appreciate your comment about Izawa >.>.
I think Taki has potential of a decent winger.
And Kisugi can shine with sliding shoots.
I agree with you though, that I'm tired of new players coming in and stealing the glory everytime. I personally think Takahashi has way too many japanese characters at that point... There's not enough character development for each of them.
That wasn't really a criticism, it's just a fact that they are ranked far compared to the other players (and not really prompt on learning new techniques).
Anyone can dribble near the touch line and anyone can do sliding shoots (Even Urabe seemed better at that), so I don't think they should even be japanese representatives. Izawa isn't that bad though, and he's probably among the best at jumping. In my opinion, Izawa should be the only representative of the shutetsu trio.
It's not really the fact that we have new players that is bothering me, I mean, it makes for a nice enough backstory when the old golden age is kinda repetitive.
But what's the point for Tsubasa and the others not being here if new guys will replace them anyway? No chance for the one converted to defense to come back to offense and no chance for the overshadowed ones to do anything anyway.
Yeah they shouldn't be on the japanese team,
Also, what's the one player, one technique thing for them?
As for Izawa, I was only kidding.

It could be anything. I mean, if for Sorimachi is just the fact to be a forward who can defend, then it musn't be so hard for everyone to have something.
Yeah, but Kira also said that you have to be better than everyone else in that skill.
No one's better then them in the Shutetsu trio skill >_>
Considering all the times I've seen Hyuga do a Tiger Tackle, I think he beats Sorimachi as a defensive forward easy
Away with Sorimachi it is then
I'm not sure what's so special about forwards that can defend. I mean, can't all forwards defend?
