I actually did start working on a transcript, but it's only at 10 pages because I tend to have trouble focusing on things.

Upon rereading Volume 10, I took a look at the cover flaps, and found an interesting tidbit. I'm pretty sure you all know that Volume 10 ends Part 1 of The Breaker. What you might not know is that they're apparently going to start releasing it online or something. Here's the translation of the author's notes on the cover flap. Not a perfect, word-for-word translation, but close enough.

I may have already said this in the Author's Comments in Volume 9, but I'm truly grateful for the readers who have bought this book.
It's because of you all that I have the chance to write stories that I like to my heart's content.
I can't go to each and every one of you to convey my thanks, but at the very least I'll leave in words like this. Thank you for everything up until now.
Talking like this makes it seems like it's bye-bye*, but it's not actually...
In this volume <Breaker> concludes Part 1 and goes into Part 2.
It seems like Part 2 will start focusing on Shiwoon's story so please anticipate it.
Oh yeah, and the publishing / release medium is going to be changed.
Starting from September you will be able to read new releases through daum (www.daum.net).

There's been a change. What results that change might bring...
Along with a great anticipation there's also a little... a very little amount of anxiety.
I believe that as long as I work hard, that anxiety isn't that important.
Please anticipate the new Breaker Part 2.
With a sense of starting over from scratch, we'll try to make up for what Part 1 was lacking in and work hard to make an awesome Part 2.

If you look at the last story page of Breaker, you'll see the words "THE BREAKER PART1 END" and some Korea stuff, among them the word "daum". This is actually a pun. daum can also mean later, so the final third line can read as "Part 2 can be met in daum" as well as "Part 2 can be met later". Just a note. And it seems like there are a lot of people wondering about the publication of Part 2
Part 2 is going to be released on daum manhwa world* and the format isn't the scrolling style of webtoons but rather we are planning on using a normal viewer that turns pages by clicking and the page format will be the same as Part 1

As for the books for Part 2 they will be released as always by Daewon right now at meetings we're thinking about putting a small title under Breaker and starting with Chapter 1 (it's not fully decided yet..)

I'm not wholly confident in parts of the translation (mainly the second paragraph) cause my Korean isn't as good as my English, but other than that, I'm sure that I'm pretty much on mark.

To answer your question, Blud, if you really want to know...

If you recall, Sosul gave Shiwoon something in Volume 6 (early chapter, after coming back from the beach). That medallion. It's called the bonghwangpe - the scans translate it as the Phoenix Medallion. Well, in Volume 9 Sosul reveals that with that medallion, Shiwoon now has authority over all decisions in the SunOo family, meaning that he's effectively become the new head.

Also, a final note. Not sure if you've noticed, but page 5 (the second story page) was printed upside down, as noted in the blog above. The blog says that they're going to have a discussion and post the results on Thursday or Friday.

God that was tiring work.

O.O That is all. So now not only does Shioon have to deal with all the people who want to kill him for being Goomoonryong's disciple, he has to be a high school student, learn martial arts, and effectively lead the strongest martial arts faction there is. Sounds like his plate is full and shits about to hit the fan.

I really cant wait for part 2.

Now a question, with this changover in digital releases, will the volume still be sold in paper? if they dont its going to cripple online scans of this awesome manwha, because you need a korean citizenship or some horsehit like that for that site. I remember some people saying on A-teams site that was the reason they arent up to date with the releases in Korea.

I believe that this indicates that it still will be released in book format; Daewon (or Daiwon) is the company that prints Breaker, so it's likely that they'll continue to print in paper, yeah.

Also, something else.

Actually, Shiwoon is no longer the disciple of GuMoonRyong. Just before Chunwoo struck Shiwoon, he expelled Shiwoon. Also, Shiwoon can no longer use martial arts, because when Chunwoo struck him, he destroyed Shiwoon's danjeon, which is the lower part of the abdomen. The danjeon is where ki gathers, so in other words, Shiwoon can no longer learn nor use martial arts. As for people wanting to kill him, that's technically not allowed anymore; because GuMoonRyong is no longer his teacher and because he no longer can use martial arts, Shiwoon is no longer considered a part of MooRim. The dude who tried to kill him was going against the rules, because he was angry that GuMoonRyong had killed his his teacher (the big dude with one eye who got offed in Volume 7).

In the flashback in the latter half of Volume 10, GuMoonRyong claims that he never thought Shiwoon as his disciple, but rather a toy to play with, which explains why GangSung becomes so angry. Both SoChun and GangSung are of the belief that GuMoonRyong was just using Shiwoon, whereas Mamungi believes that GuMoonRyong did it for Shiwoon's benefit, pointing out that if GuMoonRyong had simply left Shiwoon and left, the people of MooRim would have most likely tried to take revenge on him.

There's more that I haven't delved into yet, but you didn't ask about that, so I won't go into it. XP

In most Shonens you hear the publishers anger about scans (Shūeisha, Kōdansha, etc.) not Oda, Kishi or Kubo (even if they are)

In "The Breaker" you actually read the Autors feelings, it is a more personal thing, more deep, like:

"Stop the scans you basterds I´m gonna rip you open!!!" or something as poetic as that.

Manhwa has it hard, he should hop on the "pay for online view"

Wow that really sucks. What is the point of pretty much resetting Shiwoon back to 0? Also theres the deal with the instruction on the phone...

Any idea on if this danjeon or whatever can be repaired over time or something? That would sorta give Shiwoon time to go back and learn the basics and whatnot.

Could this be a response to people claiming that Shiwoon's growth was too fast? Maybe the author just pushed the reset button so that his growth would be natural? Really, im just trying to think up excuses though, because the idea of going back to a Shiwoon that can only fight school bullies is downright depressing.

Even without knowing the language I was able to gather/guess all the above in your quote, except for the bold part. That I actually could not gather from the images alone.

As for specifics:

Shiwoon will not even be able to get physically stronger, as earlier in the series it was shown his punching power increased due to his constant gathering of Ki. So, Shiwoon will just be basically the same as he is now, which for a normal everyday person is plenty strong enough, at least I think. Unless all that strength he had gathered due to his practicing of Ki gathering is all gone as well. If that is the case, poor poor Shiwoon.

But as everyone would gueuss, he will somehow be served an option on a silver plate which is a way to get back into the Murim world. Of course it will be a big decision, does he stay a normal person, or enter the martial arts world once again where he was used and abandoned, supposedly at least. We all know which he will choose lol

Man, after reading the spoilers for Vol 10, I kinda don't want to read The Breaker anymore. I mean, I liked the relationship between GuMoonRyong and Shiwoon. I also think that Shiwoon's progress was a little fast but having him start back at zero is pretty dumb to me. It's almost like they're just scrapping Part 1. I kinda feel like I just wasted my time.

True... I mean, I'll probably read Part 2 when it comes out but, only due to the fact that I read the first part and I want to know how it turns out.

It's better this way, IMO.

I think it's better since Shiwoon now gets to learn martial arts properly. Originally he skipped a lot of it and just knew a punch and a foot technique. As Yi Gyu-Bum (aka Mr Striped Jacket) pointed out, Shiwoon's knowledge of Spirit Crushing Strike was quite shallow since he doesn't really understand everything else. Maybe Shiwoon will actually learn how to dodge, instead of just standing there and taking hits in the face. Or maybe not :P

On the other hand, Shiwoon won't be able to just throw around Spirit Crushing Strike with every hit anymore since he won't have the massive ki reserves from the dan. Or will he? I'm not sure if having his danjeon destroyed would prevent the dan's effects from returning once fixed. It would make it more interesting if he actually had limited ki and had to fight with his head for once.

I'm also wondering if Shiwoon will stop using the techniques he already knows. Since he was expelled he'll probably learn a different school... but then that would mean a step backward since the Black Heaven breathing technique is established as the best in the world. Maybe he'll keep the breathing technique and try to master multiple arts? I doubt he'll want to attract attention by using his ex-master's techniques.

Anyone know what those people are talking about (and who they are) when Shiwoon is half-awake in hospital? I don't recognise the girl with the bubblegum. Looks like they'll be involved in Part 2, I guess.

IMO, Gumoonryong destroyed Shiwoon's danjeon on purpose. He wanted him to be safe. At least he wont be chased and wont be killed for being his disciple.

Shiwoon will definitely learn martial arts. Its sort of what happened with Ichigo in Bleach. I was rather uncomfortable with him having the artificial (sort of) Ki. He is our main hero, so their will be no shortcuts. And I am sure having that artificial Ki, training and fights have made him stronger. More hard work for him. And I believe it will be him mastering The Black Origin Threshold.

I don't know why ppl think part 1 was a waste of time since Shinwoo starts over again. The Breaker is too amazing to just throw off like that. I agree with Thorn about Gumoonryongs actions. Part 2 will probably be amazing and I will read it just like I've read the first part.

I agree with El-Thor. I certainly don't see part 1 as a waste. I have a feeling that the training this time around will be different from before. The key to me is Shiwoon's will.
