i dont think the aliens taking over are controlled or affiliated by gantz. gantz seems like technology from a far alien race that maybe helps other races or knew earth was going to be attacked, and sent the technology to help humanity. those giant ships/colonies travelling in space at the speed of light would take years to get here from another solar system. the countdown was probably this alien race's trip to the planet.

edit, i went back and checked up on the chapters and the old german man does say it was like a language and seb actually names it, [as far as the translation goes i cant say for sure] akasha chronicle~ however, few things seem strange. going back to what seb was saying is messed up, and it seems like he transferred himself. Also talking about the matrix, and the world being a devils playground.seb might gonna have another part coming up. he seems in some sort of control.

I have to agree. Just all the references and everything during the missions and even now. For instance it seems some of the aliens were familiar with the technology to some degree. I have to think that the entire gantz ball thing was purely meant to provide humanity with a fighting chance, regardless how small it may be.

We still have no idea what that massive wearhouse is up to, that had all those gantz balls. =_= And the fat chick. ya lots of questions.

I want to see what nishi is doing. He is so battle-hungry. I like him a lot. I predict that we will see him next chapter BECAUSE oku is starting to show the gantzers on the move now, starting with kurono this chapter.

Nishi's likely going to die. Kei 'sniped' two of the robots from afar and was nearly hit by 3 of those spinning blade things. As we've seen, Nishi is likely to be standing maybe a few feet away from things when he shoots them. If he does that again, he'll have to display some actual talent to get out of it.

nishi has two h-guns, this could be good for him. however his hide and kill worthlessness will probably not work. if the vampires had a way of seeing through gantz's cloak, then these aliens shouldnt have any problems seeing stealthed gantzers.

All we know is that the aliens have some method of detecting where the H-gun blast is coming from. Since the one that shot at Kei was so inaccurate, I'm guessing that maybe they heard the sound the gun makes and associated the blast with the sound and shot in that direction.

If I remember correctly living in a world where the is an akashic record IS like living in the matrix.

The akashic record is supposedly something that existed before time that has everything that can happen will happen and how it will happen.

The games I've played and stories I've read where theres an "akashic record" usually has a character either having power over it or trying to rewrite it.

If the record actually existed and you had the power to edit it, that would give you power to edit reality like it was a computer program. Replacing something could cause the past or future to change.

Now if the akashic record is in Gantz, then that could mean that whatever Gantz is can manipulate it to either create the monsters/aliens, or pull them from their planet to another planet.

Creating a 2nd Kei Kurono would be as easy as copying and pasting this sentance.


Does anyone else think the aliens were forced into it?

Gantz might have used a threat "Wipe humanity out or I'll kill every civilian from YOUR planet."

Or they were forced by their own people to wipe humanity out like sending convicts to a primitive place and have them wipe out the natives while you sit back, eat popcorn and bet on who scores the most kills.

I like to think that this world we live in is like a computer software itself, take for example the internet itself, is a "whole world" a "universe" itself with his own rules, his own languages (php., html, xhtml, action script, etc etc), its own limits, etc, and it was created by us the humans.....the same happens with games, if you have the "knowlegde" to create a video games, you are creating "a universe" of characters, situations, etc etc....so i think that the akashic record theory might have some truth , maybe the universe or the reality in the gantz world was created by some high superior inteligence like we humans create a webpage, or a game, or a movie, etc....and somehow the fat girl can have acces to the knowlegde that made possible the creation of the world or "gantz reality"...is like when someone learns the "html code" and then starts to make web sites, this same concept can be applied to the fat girl...and maybe to the aliens that are invading earth, they must have acces to this "knowledge" too and they use it to invade other planets , take out all the natural resources from it and then go to another planet, like in independece day :P

Well like I said earlier, I think Gantzi s doing it for the Lulz.

If Sebastian was telling the truth rich sadistic humans pitted other humans in games against monsters to the death sort of like Roman gladiators.

Now if the aliens are ALSO like us, then they might enjoy watching their forced gantzers massacring every human living on the earth because they're like us.


I haven't spoken to a gamer who hasn't chosen the "evil path" in any rpg strategy game etc just to see what it's like. It's fun because it's a game and we know it's a game, but if it WAS real you KNOW you'd have that voice nagging in the back of your mind saying "But I CAN wipe their planet out..."

It kind of looked like the aliens were either A> prisoners forced to watch B> Or spectators enjoying a gorefest.


The "For the Lulz" theory is supported by Gantz being a rude jerk 99% of the time.

If you gave the collective consciousness of 4chans anonymous godlike powers, you'd get GANTZ.

Yow guys, first post on this forum, although I'm a long time Gantz reader.

Anyhow, my take on the current chapter and what it reveals:

I'm especially interested by what the boy saw through his telescope, and the similarities between the alien technology and what the gantzers wear/ use...

I think the aliens are actually Gantzers as well, and that the killing has a purpose other than for them to inhabit earth.

Imo, they're killing people so that they can turn them into Gantzers inside the big vessels, they then become parts in a greater scheme of things and are send out themselves to kill beings on other worlds and turn those into Gantzers as well.

So the big ships would in fact fill the same role as the balls but on a far larger scale.

Why people need to die before they become Gantzers is another thing, maybe it has something to do with capturing their 'information' and storing that, similar to the way Kurono&co were stored inside the balls.

As for the purpose of this galactic recruitment act: I don't know, maybe it is to face some great threat, or maybe the ones behind it just want power.


The initial Gantzers might have just been a test to determine the 'readiness' or the 'usefulness' of a species for recruitment.

The aliens on Earth before the others got there? No idea, might be they are the 'testing material' or that they belong to another party that the universal Gantz is fighting against.

Hello everyone. I just registered, to make a reply regarding what my theory is on who the aliens are.

Their technology looks extremely similar to the Gantz technology, so I presume that they're the creators of it. I believe this because the gantz ball was able to predict their exact arrival on Earth, plus they were able to pinpoint the h-gun users.

I believe the reason they sent the transmition to Earth to create the Gantz ball technology was a tactic they use to conquer planets. They do so to cause the planet's natives to wipe out any potential threat from any other alien species that inhabits the planets, so that when these aliens arrive to the planet, they can take it over without much hostility.

Since the Gantzers were unable to kill off the Greek/Roman statue aliens, I am going to make a large assumption and say that if they show Italy, you will see that the Roman statues are fighting back against the invading aliens.

Notechnology were stolen remember Jaba-woman and germany factory. Aliens can be some sort of gantzers but not defenders - they are attackers!
