I'd have to say Marco. We don't really know that much about Marco's abilities other than his DF, but just from what we've seen, I'm pretty sure Marco would win. Marco's DF is equal to, if not stronger than, Ace's DF in terms of power, and Ace's ONLY strength right now seems to be his DF. In the fight with Blackbeard, he just continued to use his logia abilities even though he knew they weren't that effective against his opponent.

actually Ace's attacks were effective against BB, he was a tangible logia. Also, if your a swordsman, and you were fighting a steel man, would you switch weps if it wasnt effective?

And how are you so certain that Marco can even hit Ace?
im really curious as to who ppl think would win this fight as i believe that the strongest should take over for WB

Well the stronger doesn't mean they'll take over WB Pirates.

Rules say the 1st Commander would take over and all previous Commanders would move up in rank but thats for a different discussion.


Ultimately it would come down to whose "fire" would over power the others. In which case I think it'd be Marco's.

Anyway, Marco is stronger. Why? Because he's the 1st division leader and we know that the 1st division leader is stronger than other division leaders. Shanks even asked if he wanted to join his crew. That says a lot.

Ace was able to kick Luffy's rubber butt even before he ate the Mera Mera Fruit. Given how powerful Luffy can be, and appears to be a direct result of the "training" that Garp put him through in order to turn him into a strong Marine. Given that Garp had the same hope for Ace, it's likely that he went through similar (and possible even worse) hardships.

Ace has definitely got some serious skills behind that Fruit.

Probably would go with Marco as stronger, but once you throw the "D" factor in.. I think they are really on par. Just because we don't know enough about Marco... Yeah tie, I guess. But I'd assume that Marco would be a better fight than BB. Who is dependent on his fruit nullifying power.

You misunderstand. Ace was better than Luffy before he ate the Mera Mera Fruit, but after Luffy ate his Gomu Gomu Fruit. In other words, rubberman vs. normal human.

Marco seems to have been around for quite a long time. On top of that he seems quite capable of fighting on par with any character introduced so far, he may even be stronger than the admirals.

He, along with some of the current commanders seem to have been top rated pirates for a long time now. Ace is strong, his strength could even make a difference in the war that is being fought now(unlike luffy lol) but IMHO marco would beat the crap out of him.

I feel like Ace's fire wouldn't do much good against Marco at which point it becomes a physical contest, and Marco appears to be much more adept at physical combat.
