Naruto Time Skip 3 (Rumors Confirmed to be Real)

Most of us know that kishimoto said on a interview (about 2 years ago) that he was gonna make naruto a 3 part series, but almost noone believe him and just called it a false rumor, well its not that anymore, a new picture talks about the new naruto data book on april next year but more importantly it says kishimoto will reveal details of the next time skip in wish they are all grown up and naruto is a hokage.

that is not a picture of a new data book but a picture of the new 10 year anniversary naruto fanbook coming out on december 4. it will have drawings from 42 different manga artist like kubo, oda, toriyama and others. it says nothing about a new time skip

So there will be a timeskip.... AWESOME! I always wanted to see what naruto will turn up to be as an adult. I find it weird that he becomes hokage though. It is kinda funny he becomes the hokage given that as such he should not get involved in the fighting and in turn comfortably sit on his chain and direct people. I am still thrilled though, this is great news.

Naruto having another time skip, well I have mixed feelings for it.

I do want to see Naruto all grown up and Hokage. On the other hand, I think it will just be prolonging the series and nothing else. Its about time Kishi should think for a reasonable finale for the series. Stretching it for couple of more years, the quality may go down.

It depends on how he plays it though. A timeskip would allow kishi to set the plot in an entirely new direction which the story desperately needs now. I do think this part of the manga has gotten a tad long and a timeskip would kill it beautifully.

If you pay close attention to the way the story has been unfolding, especially in Part 2, I think you could easily see a Part 3 coming. The growth of the characters in Part 1 was just an introduction of their skills and abilities (the younger generation) along with an exposition of the ninja world. The 2nd part is currently showing the true growth of the protagonists from kids to shinobi who have their own views of their world. Although a lot of things happened in Part 1, there was no real movement of the plot towards a satisfying "conclusion." Part 2 on the other hand shows the other villages and their way of thinking (which happened just recently so I think Part 2 is about halfway done or less).
The reason I think there will be a Part 3 is this: Jirayia's story. Recently in the anime it showed Jirayia's growth throughout his life. Naruto, in order to complete his story, in other words make "The Tale of Uzumaki Naruto" as complete as "The Tale of the Gallant Jirayia," he has to grow up, come up with his own solutions to fix the ninja world, and show that he NEVER GIVES UP until the end of the story. By never giving up to establish peace, and if he actually succeeds, the story will finally be complete.
Another character that I'm really looking forward to in Part 3 is Sakura. If you've read Kishimoto's interviews before you would know he designed her to be an annoying, but normal girl at the beginning of the manga. She gets a lot of shit for being the crybaby of Part 1 but think about it. If any other normal girl in this world were in her shoes she would be crying just as much, or even more, in the cruel world that Sakura comes from. Part 1 Sakura is just a normal girl, with a normal childhood, until she joined the genin school. Part 2 will show her growth, right now she is still learning, and becoming strong while developing her world view. In Part 3, she will be a great medical ninja. Not only that, but she will surpass Tsunade and master both genjutsu and offensive/defensive ninjutsu. She is simply the last to be taught by Kakashi, but the one on one training will happen sooner or later, and I can't wait til the results of that training come out.

Just because some deviantart member misinterpreted a picture, everybody starts believing there will be a time-skip -.-

The picture that prompted the rumor is nothing more than drawing for the coming fanbook in December.

I like the idea of having a time skip as sort of an epilogue. Show the new generation of Ninja, show the rookie 11 in their new roles in the village, show naruto as Hokage. What do you guys think? I like the idea of a timeskip after the main plot would be a good way to close off the series.

i always thought there would be a 2nd timeskip. i never could see a bunch of 16 year olds carrying the torch for the leaf.

oda(author of one piece) said that he is planning to do around 1000 chapters for one piece. naruto is the biggest manga in the world, so just from a revenue stand point, the jump would not want it to end.

any way, i would love to naruto and all the konoha ninja around the age of 20. also there has to be at least a 3 year skip because tamari wants shikimaru. she is 18 and he is 16, and last time i checked that is illegal

Ehhh....before I always thought a timeskip wasn't coming, but seeing how the story is playing out, its very possible. I mean it could be that this war that is supposed to be coming could prolong and take years(in the naruto world) to finish. But if there is a 2nd timeskip, I wouldn't want Naruto to be hokage yet, he'd just be confined to the village a lot. But hope this does happen, I wanna see the rookie 9 as jonin and all grown up and what not.

A timeskip during the war would be great.
Because, a war cannot be settle in a few weeks/month (otherwise, it's called a skirmish... )

I'd like to see Naruto at 20-22 years old.
He would look just like his father.

And if he could have settle with a girl before the timeskip (Sakura, maybe?), that would be nice to see him in a serious relationship after the timeskip.

By that age (22 years old) his father already had a kid with Kushina, so...

It would certainly be interesting!

We all know that the picture is from the 10th anniversary, but the thread starter said that there was a comment saying that there would be clarification about this timeskip in it?
Can we hope for some info about that in the 10th anniversary fanbook?

The person there mixed up the dates. The fanbook comes out 12/04 December(12) 4th(04). But the person thought it said 04/12 April(04) 12th(12). So they assumed this is a new databook. And they assumed time skip because of Naruto in Hokgae gear.

There is NO confirmed time skip.
