Howdy folks well most of us know the new fanbook came out and someone has already made a thread for Spanish translations so I thought would be nice to have one for English.


As much as I would love to upload the whole book as eaballer10 did for the Databook 3. ATM I'm more interested in help translating the important parts of it so for now I'm uploading/( rehosting really) the more interesting parts but can add other parts later.


So now I ask any translators who can help and have the time if you would do your magic.

- I had to get rid of the background as cleaning it caused more trouble than it was worth.

Just to get this straight: I'm gonna translate a couple more things because they were asked of me, but I don't intend to work any further on the Fanbook. So to those who haven't put in their requests already: sorry, but I'm not taking any more of them.

SHINOBI Evolution Picture Scroll - The Tale of Haruno Sakura {First Scroll}
Quote: I just want a simple thing. The acknowledgement of a single one person: Sasuke-kun........

Title: A Konoha's kunoichi and a member of Team Seven.
Text: She loved Sasuke!! And hated Naruto!! Haruno Sakura was a fairly ordinary girl, even more interested in love affairs than ninjutsu. But her perception of things changed greatly when she graduated from the Academy an was appointed into Team Seven. How attacking and defending at the crucial moment determined whether one lived or died. How the losers would find themselves lying to the ground when the victor wouldn't. In the mission to rescue the Kazekage, she rescued a shinobi of the Hidden Sand with her high level medical ninjutsu. And she struck down the Akatsuki Sasori, a remarkable performance owed to the fighting spirit and outrageous strength her master had conveyed upon her!! Nowadays, Sakura is growing into an indispensable fighting resource indispensable to the Hidden Leaf village...!!

Sakura watched as Naruto lost himself to anger and was being enveloped in the Kyuubi's chakra. Naruto was fighting to the point of harming himself, so he could fulfill the promise he'd made to her. The sight of which struck a fierce blow at her heart. But when they were reunited at last, Sasuke had severed all ties with his comrades, and he swooped down upon Sakura and the others, a cold and heartless look in his eyes. Yet again, her feelings didn't get through. In spite of this painful truth, Sakura still found it in herself to encourage Naruto.

Caption: As the reconstruction of the village proceeds, turbulence and unrest surround the new Hokage!!
Text: Even the hidden village that prides itself on being the most powerful has sustained devastating damage after the Akatsuki's invasion. Danzou has been elected as the candidate for the post of Sixth Hokage, to replace Tsunade who is currently in a coma. But there's an aura of wrongness about him that casts a shadow on the village's future.

Text: The seat of Third Hokage has been a subject of dispute and conflict between the moderate Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzou, the warlike hard-liner. Although Hiruzen was the one instated as the next Hokage. Danzou has been lurking at the "Root" of the tree that is Konoha ever since, eagerly waiting for an opportunity to present itself...

-He advocates an aggressive, hard-line policy of thorough rule-abiding for the sake of Konoha's development. Thus having the Daimyou (Feudal Lord) acknowledging him as a candidate for the post of Sixth Hokage.

Hidden Sand village.
<Fifth Kazekage/Gaara.>

Caption: A village growing into a force to be reckoned with as its young leader gathers trust and confidence!!
Text: In order to bridge the gap in power between the other villages and itself, the Sand enacted several policies of military strengthening involving research on jinchuuriki and Puppeteering squads. However, after their attempt at destroying the Leaf and the appointment of the Fifth Hokage, they established a satisfactory alliance with Konoha.

-Although he's lost the bijuu Shukaku to the Akatsuki, his sand jutsu are alive and well, starting with his Absolute Defense.
<Trusted Lieutenant> Kankurou
-The Kazekage's older brother has an absolute confidence in him. The finest puppet master in his village, he safeguards its leader.[tn: Good thing Chiyo and Sasori died, I guess (lol).
<Trusted Lieutenant> Temari
-Gaara and Kankurou's older sister. Uses her massive folding fan to cover their backs!!

Caption: Forcible measures for national empowerment and prosperity!!
Text: The influence of the Land of Wind's policy of disarmament had put the Hidden Sand village's in a critical situation regarding its fate and continued existence. In order to maintain face as a powerful country, they joined forces with the Hidden Sound to destroy Konoha.

-The leader's decisions are beyond questioning. The shinobi went on with the plan with dismal resolve.
-The previous Kazekage had been assassinated by Orochimaru before Konoha's destruction.

Hidden Stone village.

Caption: An experienced veteran who governs, and observes the situation with a rapacious, opportunistic look!!
Text: The eldest among the Kage, "Ryoutenbin no Oonoki" has been maintaining his rule for an extended period of time.[tn: Oonoki Heads-or-Tails, or possibly Two-Face Oonoki.] His lead is one of thoroughly militaristic policies, which even include having recourse to the Akatsuki. Even after the Third Great War he's been on the outlook, covetously holding out for a chance at hegemony over the ninja world.

-This shinobi is built like a rocky mountain and proud of it. He's always by the Tsuchikage's side to defend him.

-This veteran kunoichi is a representative of the Hidden Stone. Will crack jokes at everyone, including the head of her village, the Tsuchikage.
-Tsuchikage is a master of Jinton, the manipulation of molecules.[tn: Jinton=Dust Release.] The jutsu that used to rock the ninja world is alive and well!![tn: LOL, see what I did there?]

Caption: The battle against Konoha, where blood was washed with more blood!![tn: Actually it translates as "violence met with more violence", but the Japanese expression kept as-is sounds just as cool, and still very much understandable.]
Text: The Hidden Stone invested a thousand shinobi into the Third Great Ninja World War. They invaded the Hidden Grass and marched until they neared the borders of the Land of Fire. The Leaf could not afford to relent its vigilance towards the neighboring countries, but it lacked the military power to put up a resistance. The Stone would assail them with sudden fierceness, till the very last second before their defeat.

Comment
-The Kanabi bridge was a key point of the Hidden Stone's supplying route. The battle that took place there is what turned the tides.

Hidden Mist village.
<Fifth Mizukage/Terumi Mei.>

Caption: They leave a gruesome past behind, towards a new political administration!!
Text: This village sits amidst the mountains, on a territory constantly blanketed in a thick, concealing mist, isolated from foreign countries. The terror regime of the Fourth Mizukage Yagura went on, but in the recent years Terumi Mei took office as the Fifth Mizukage. Thanks to that dramatic change, the village's policies were revolutionized, and the village aimed to be reborn as an "open-minded" one.

-A powerful veteran who carries over the harshness of times past. Has a Byakugan.
Trusted Lieutenant> Choujuurou
-Member of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen, he safeguards the Mizukage with his greatsword Hiramekarei.[tn: "Hirame" and "karei" are both references to flatfish like flounders and soles.]
-The Mizukage possesses 2 Kekkei Genkai. The Youton, as well as the Futton!![tn: Magma Release and Scalding Release.]

Caption: The Dark Ages of the Hidden Mist village...!!
Text: Before the Fifth Mizukage's inauguration, the Hidden Mist village was called "The village of the Bloody Mist". The severity of the rules that governed it is remembered as a nightmare by the Mist shinobi themselves, to say nothing of the other villages.

-Some shinobi like Momochi Zabuza objected to the state of affairs in the village, and they would contemplate, and even plot and make attempts at a coup d'etat.[tn: The word 企てる (kuwadateru) here is a tricky one, because it can mean "to attempt", but also to "contemplate" and "to plot".]
-The Fourth Mizukage was manipulated by the Akatsuki, from behind the scenes...

Hidden Cloud village.
<Fourth Raikage./A>

Caption: A warlike hidden village focused on increasing its military strength!!
Text: The battle-prone hidden village which holds the Nibi and Hachibi jinchuuriki and promotes swordsmanship and Nintaijutsu (Ninja Close Combat). In their single-minded quest to increase their nation's power, they also earnestly research the other countries' ninja techniques and equipments.

-This Jounin adopts a constantly aloof demeanor. He rampages about, with his Raiton ninjutsu and swordsmanship for weapons!!

<Trusted Lieutenant> C/Cee[tn: Pick your favorite.]
-His calmness and composure puts this Jounin in stark contrast with the Raikage. He specializes in Raiton genjutsu!!

Caption: The far-reaching relation between the Hidden Cloud village and the Hyuuga!!
Text: In an endeavor to augment their military strength, the Hidden Cloud plotted to kidnap Hinata, the Hyuuga descendant in order to elucidate their Kekkei Genkai. But when the plan failed, they used the alliance treaty as a pretext to demand the body of the Hyuuga leader. Before the increased likeliness of a war, Konoha delivered his twin brother Hizashi, thus avoiding conflict...

-A drastic changeover for the shinobi leader. From a peaceful emissary to a kidnapper...!!
-To protect Konoha and the Hyuuga, Hyuuga Hizashi lays down his life.

-Extra-long, hair hanging down to her knees. The braiding makes it even sexier!
-I gave her the high heels in the early stages of her creation, to give her a more feminine touch.
-I made her hair twist at the base of her neck.

Mizukage
Caption: 30-years old. Cause that's how I like it!
Text: Seeing as she's a female character, I thought I had to give her some measure of attractiveness. To do that, I couldn't have her be too young, and that's why she's thirty! Which also explains why she's so eager to get married (lol). It was particularly hard to draw her in such a way as to make her look her age, however... I went through great pains to give her a classy hairdo and a general air of adulthood. I made her tall and slender with long hair, and leaved her shoulders exposed, which took an awful lot of trial-and-error to manage.

(Choujuurou)
-When he opens his mouth you can see his jagged teeth. His short hair is meant to make him look more like a kid.
-His general appearance is reminiscent of that of Naruto and the like.

(Ao)
-The eyepatch gives him a small feel of manly trendiness. His looks convey a sense of severity.
-A long haori wraps around his body. He gives out the impression of a quiet, mature man.[tn: A Haori is a Japanese formal coat.]

Choujuurou
Caption: I made him a typical bespectacled character.
Text: The point was to make him look like a not-so-dependable fellow. I gave him the glasses at once (lol). Then I shortened him to make him look more childlike, and for the jagged teeth, I just indulged myself.[tn: No, not "that" way, you freaks!]

Ao
Caption: He was based around Haku's design.
Text: His clothing looks an awful lot like Haku's. To tell the truth I wanted to go even further and give him a mask, but I dropped the idea halfway. Then, since he isn't a hand-to-had fighting type, I added the long sleeves as a finishing touch, giving him an air of tranquility.

-His face alone is enough to convey his sternness!! The odd shape of his coat is also deliberate.

(Akatsuchi)
-The least one can say is that he's big!! The large wooden box he's carrying makes his huge size even more prominent.

(Kurotsuchi)
-She wears gloves of both hands. Her right arm is uncovered from the shoulder down, for ease of movement.

Gimli Tsuchikage
Caption: I wanted to give him a perfectly round nose!
Text: I drew him in a way that would make the old man's severity plain and clear. He is extremely short. The round nose I gave him suited him gorgeously.

Akatsuchi
Caption: I took the Tsuchikage and made him larger!
Text: Since the Tsuchikage had a round nose, it ended up suiting Akatsuchi just fine. Not that he's meant to be his child.

Kurotsuchi
Caption: She looks like a dancer.
Text: I guess It's a bit hard to tell what gender she is, but she's female.[tn: Agreed. She's somewhat androgynous.] I drew her so she'd give out a sense of lightness and agility.

(Raikage)
-He's a hand-to-hand specialist, which translates into his body type. His large belt is an equally characteristic feature!
-Thick forearms and a thriving musculature! Conveying an acute sense of just how powerful he is!

(Darui)
-He's wearing a vest on top of his dowel-fastened trousers. Collar uplifted for stylishness!
-"Water" on his right shoulder, "Lightning" on the left. Challenges issued to his opponents with the jutsu at his disposal...?!

(C)[tn: Or Cee, simply Shii.]
-A characteristic of his is the long forearms protectors that go up to his elbows. He sports the same leggings as the Raikage.
-A look of aplomb on his face, making him appear dead serious! Even his forehead protector is worn just like it should!!

Raikage
Caption: A fighting champion of some kind!
Text: I drew him as a muscle-bound character who uses pro-wrestling moves. I envisioned a champion's belt of some kind on his waist, so I had him try it on (lol).

Darui
Caption: Relaaaaaaxed (lol).[tn: "Darui" means "languid" or "sluggish".]
Text: I wanted to convey a sense of sluggishness. I put the Water and Lightning characters on his shoulders to show he can use a Kekkei Genkai.

C
Caption: A dead serious character!
Text: At first, I pictured him as a cool, good-looking male idol.[tn: An idol is a young, pretty (and usually female) Japanese pop music singer.] I wanted to make him a serious character.

(Torune)
-A somewhat large opening for the mouth. That way, I can convey his feelings even if his eyes aren't visible.
-Even with his ANBU mask off, you can't see his real face! He hears a large poach on his waist.

(Fuu)
-His expression is the result of trial-and-error. I've been hardening his expression into the stern look he has now.
-His hair is long enough for him to tie it up. I had him bear his mask at waist-height early on in the creation process.

Torune
Caption: I wanted an opening for the mouth only.
Text: I wanted to create an American Superhero look-alike.[tn: Batman much, anyone? (lol)]Anyway, I wanted him to have an opening for the mouth only (lol). There are plenty of characters out there with their mouths concealed, but since hardly any characters have their eyes covered, this is pretty much a novelty.

Fuu
Caption: Dangerous grown-up vibe!
Text: I wanted a straight-laced, no-nonsense character. Expressionless as he is, one can hardly tell what he's thinking, so there's quite a "dangerous adult" air about him... Then, I gave him powerful insight, to bring out a sense of deterrence.

(Urakaku)
-A chonmage and extra-thick eyebrows!! His mouth is always concealed, so there's no seeing it.[tn: CHonmage=Japanese style topknot typically worn by men in feudal Japan.]

(Mifune)
-A long moustache and a long beard. Has a turban-like piece wrapped around his head.

(Okisuke)
-Characterized by a shaved head and the large scars on his scalp and forehead. Looks fairly scary.

(Samurai)
-Their faces are completely invisible. With their full-body armor and helmets on, they give out a sense of intimidation.
-Surely those sharply pointed horns mark him as the Samurai leader...?!

Urakaku
Caption: Gravity and seriousness!
Text: I wanted to make him a typically straight-laced character. I pictured somebody the first impression of whom would be an air of gravity.

Mifune
Caption: Purely Japanese in style!
Text: I had a definite image of him as a Samurai. Hence why I drew him with a powerful sense of "Japaneseness".

Okisuke
Caption: The Second Attendant.
Text: I drew him with a "Mifune's faithful subordinate" vibe in mind. You can picture him tacitly carrying out his orders, along with Urakaku.

Samurai
Caption: Heavily armored, imposing outfits!
Text: You could qualify them of robot-like, or some such. Actually I did have something akin to a mechanical suit in mind.

Weeeee its update time again its been several months since I added anything here but i had some free time and was bored so I went to it.

- I added "Character Creation Sketches" at the bottom it has all Kishi's sketch notes and some insight into the characters introduced in the Kage Summit Arc.

I'l get around to finishing that Kazekage page sooner or later lol
