Re: What's coming next! (Manga Spoilers included)

Well,I do understand it in a way. They already know all the manga stuff,as they read the chapters weekly and buy the tankobons, which they probably re-read a couple of times before the anime airs.So it makes sense to prefer original and fresh stuff such as fillers or movies over the old stuff they've seen enough of.
The thing is,those fillers are utter sh't.Therefore,I don't quite understand them Japanese people, but I know where they're coming from.

All the same even if they prefer them celebrating with fillers sounds really stupid. It should be something special.

Openings always change on the first week of April and October, endings change on the first week of January, April, July and October.

Next change will occure on April 5th.
The new ending will be "Cascade" by UNLIMITS

    Here's what they sound like:

I can't find the data for the new opening though, it should come around in the next week or two.

They're the ones who sang the "Haruka Kanata" version of Bleach.

Re: What's coming next! (Manga Spoilers included)

    April 05, 2012 – Naruto Shippuden Episode 257
Four Week Long Special Project For the Broadcast’s Tenth Anniversary: “Meeting”.

    April 12, 2012 – Naruto Shippuden Episode 258
Four Week Long Special Project For the Broadcast’s Tenth Anniversary: “Rivals”

    April 19, 2012 – Naruto Shippuden Episode 259
Four Week Long Special Project For the Broadcast’s Tenth Anniversary: “Cracks”

    April 26, 2012 – Naruto Shippuden Episode 260
Four Week Long Special Project For the Broadcast’s Tenth Anniversary: “Separation”

---------- Post added at 02:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:26 AM ----------

So this probably means flashback fillers from part 1, recapping Naruto and Sasuke's relationship.
I guess "Meeting" is Naruto and Sasuke meeting.
"Rivals" is about them becoming rivals.
"Cracks", the cracks in the watertanks on the roof of Konoha hospital (aka their friendship cracking/worsening).
And finally "Seperation", Naruto and Sasukes separation before Part 2.

They stopped the anime this week right before the last arc starts.
No words on when or if the anime will return for the final arc later.

Re: What's coming next! (Manga Spoilers included)

New opening and ending themes start next week.

New opening: "Totsugeki Rock" by the Cro-Magnons
    New ending: "Cascade" by UNLIMITS

Also, to give a bit of perspective on "filler" in Japan. In the US, fans tend to call it filler because it's inserted between the canon (manga) material in order to "fill out" the series and allow them to keep running the series without running out of material to adapt.

In Japan, they call them "original stories" and they're popular for just that reason. It's a new story with new characters that the viewers have never seen in the manga. That's why they have higher ratings.

You can pretend to call them whatever you want, but that doesnt change the fact that they are poorly made (for the most part).
The original characters are poorly written, borderline flat, and have no depth whatsoever.
Furthermore, the animation is mostly bad during fillers (for the most part).

I wont believe that fillers have higher ratings until i see it with my own eyes.
That rumor has been floating around forever, but there never was actually any kind of source.

We are reading the canon material over and over, watch the anime over and over, but still arent interested in badly done fillers. I wont believe that in japan, this isnt true somehow.

"All new characters that viewers have never seen before" my ass.
Does anyone remember a single filler character? Was any of them really memorable?
Had any of them actually any profile? No, they are borderline terribly made.
Forget about character depth and whatnot, and just look at the character design (art wise), even that is terribly made.

That rumour makes absolutely no sense, and implies that japanese are retarded, which i dont think they are.

Re: What's coming next! (Manga Spoilers included)

TV show ratings are readily available online. You can do the math yourself.

Now, fillers aren't always more popular, but they often are. It tends to depend on the content itself, and also what the show's airing against.

"Past Arc ~The Locus of Konoha~" (season 9) averaged higher ratings than the "Two Saviors" (season 8), for example.

In fact, (filler) episode 183 - "Naruto: Outbreak" had the highest ratings of 2010 with a 6.2 share, beating out the entire Pain Invasion arc.

You can also view the ratings if you want to get an idea of why the Bleach anime ended. Although those numbers aren't up to date with the last month or so, Bleach's ratings have recently fallen to an average share of about 1.6. Reruns of Naruto ~Shounenhen~ do better than that.

To me it looks a lot more like there are certain months during which it is watched alot more, and the ratings heavily depend on who they are aired up against.
There isnt really a pattern where fillers are higher rated because they are fillers. There are plenty of fillers that have terrible ratings even though they arent up against anything.

There is so much variance between each episode, completely unrelated to whether it is filler or not, or the quality of the episode itself (which makes sense, because viewers dont know beforehand if a particular episode is going to be good or bad), that you cant really make any kind of point.

As far as i can see they have a consistent share of about 5 with a variance of +-1.5
A single episode having 6.2, while all others in the season have about 5, doesnt mean that it beats out the entire pain arc, and certainly doesnt mean that fillers are more popular.
Looks a lot more like a lucky spike upwards, since it falls back down to 5 immediately.
