Because time flies when you're having fun? Glad you liked Peacemaker. That is an interesting anime and it does feel like it ends quickly, mainly because the very best episodes are in the last what, six episodes? Those concluding episodes had me absolutely gripped.Originally Posted by destinator
For a recommendation: try Yukikaze. I have only seen volume 1 and it's a couple of years old now, but the special effects are fantatsic, the atmosphere is moody and tense and the fighter jets are done so well. It's worth checking out.
Yeah too sad sometimes xD And you probably mean Tetsu the red haired main character I loved it for the nice theme, music and questions like "throw away your humantiy for revenge" *points at sasuke*LOL* xDOriginally Posted by kadoman
I gonna check out that anime soon
Bastard is a very funny and violent anime. (did i mention that already?? hmmm....anyways It is only 6 episodes and comes on one dvd, so i recommend it to anyone who likes humor, violence, ninjas, warriors, vampires, um...sorcerers...and...um...big boobs...heh XD
Also, Soul Taker, though it isn't the best story per se, is also a good 'overlooked' anime. 13 episodes on 4 dvds. It is very pretty to look at, and worth watching even if only to see Kiyosuke bleed from his eyes. *nods* (hottie)
Also good: Armitage III --the third--, which is a 4 episode OVA, Armatage Dual Matrix (movie), and Armitage III Poly Matrix (movie). Ploy Matrix even has a surprizingly good dub (probably because they hired real actors to do the voices?)
Hmmm...Outlaw Star is entertaining, and it is a full 26 episodes that comes in 3--2 disc--dvd sets. Cheap for a whole series!
Glad you mentioned Soul Taker. It is candy for the eyes and often gets overlooked, but I couldn't really understand a lot of what was happening, I have to admit!Originally Posted by Kusachu
Another anime that gets overlooked is Generator Gawl. It's extremely entertaining, and for once, the dub is actually better acted and better scripted than the original (which is dire...very boring...poorly acted). Definitely worth checking out.
hmmm..right now i am watching Full Metal Alchemist its pretty good i like it the further u go on the story the darker it becomes and i also watching Samurai7, Bleach, Naruto, and Trinity Blood......plus animes that i finished that are kool are Cowboy Bebop, Getbackers, Generator Gawl, Berserk, and i cant seem to remeber them all.
I also had a problem with her always winning in Angelic Layer. She only lost once and that was to the 5 year old girl who became her helper in the tournament. But then the story didn't give her any room to lose. I wish she had gone through a longer practice phase where you could see her losing and learning from her loses.
Bastard is an anime - a very short and incomplete anime that is no where near as funny as the manga. Don't get me wrong, it's what got me hooked on Bastard and is still very enjoyable. but some things don't make a lot of sense because they didn't do all of the scenes to make it make sense. The manga shows you everything. Hmm... well, not 'everything'... ^_~
Finished watching DNAngel a week ago. Which is pretty good, but has a few story-telling problems. There are too many mysteries that don't get explained soon enough for things to make sense. But otherwise, it's pretty funny and enjoyable. And has a decent ending.
Yukikaze is pretty good. Some things have not been fleshed out yet, as of volume 2, but I will see where it goes.
I really enjoyed RahXephon and now Eureka 7. People might classify them as Eva clones I think they each offer something different from Eva. RahXephon there is more interaction among the characters. In Eureka 7, the flow is completly different more up tempo.
i finished watching Samurai Champloo, Getbackers and i am currently watching the rest of trigun and gungrave other than naruto and bleach.
And about samurai 7 i am still downloading it but it is a great anime
I love how Trigun is an oldie but such a goodie. I've seen it so many times now and always learn something new with each viewing - it remains my most cherished anime. It's taken for granted that there are many subtle layers to it but if you watch closely you can catch them.
Right now, I'm watching GANTZ.
It's one of the most amazing animes I've ever seen!
First, I saw the American DVD version, not very good.
BUT, then a friend told me that the version I saw was censored in some scenes and the dialogue was changed. He gave me the 'Original Japanese Episodes'... The whole thing changed.
It's a very strong anime (violence everywhere, sex, nudity, strong language), but the story is very cool and original. It trapped me in the first episode. Now I'm in the 18th episode and is awasome! The series is short (about 24~ episodes, but I heard in September they are going to release more episodes. COOL!
There's a manga too. Besides of the anime, the manga has more chapters and still having new chapters (it hasn't ended yet). I'm downloading it right now, but in spanish. If you still want it, click here to download it.
Well, that's it. I recommend it.

Since you mentioned Gantz, are you aware that there are threads about the manga (well, beginning chapter 230) in the Seinen Manga section? You might want to check it out after you finish watching it and catching up with the manga.
I haven't watched any anime lately except for Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). The anime is in near completion with 12 out of 14 episodes having aired already. I'd elaborate more about it but I have to go to school shortly. In the meantime, here's three links:

OH! I DIDN'T NOTICE IT!
The anime I am watching are Gintama, One Piece, Naruto, and Eureka Seven. If you really want to watch a good anime I recommend Eureka Seven it is a good anime in my opinion.
Been watching Noein. Very pretty and the story is good (though all the physics makes my head hurt XP) Haruka is a cutie pie and Karasu is that type of dark and brooding hero that i cannot resist. XD It is still airing so i am agonizing abut the wait for new episodes. T-T
Also, had to check out Witchblade. Only seen the first couple of eps, but it is looking okay to me, which is surprising because i am a huge fan of the comic (up to chapter 50ish) and this is absolutely nothing like the comic. It's definitly worth checking out though. The animation is good and the story seems to be intresting. Oh and the photographer guy is a bit of a hottie too. XD
One of my all time favorite anime has to be Cromartie High School. It is absolutely hilarious. I haven't seen the whole thing, but what i have seen i still laugh at even after having watched it multiple times. The soundtrack is good too (if anyone knows where i can download it, please link me!!). So, so funny.
Gilgamesh is pretty and the action is not half bad. Seen the first 8 eps or so. It has Witch Hunter Robin-esque quality about it, which can be good or bad. I like it even though it is a little strange and the brother and sister's relationship is...odd. I'm having trouble finding the later volumes though. Anyone know if they have been fansubbed?
Ah, and Howel's Moving Castle is a must own. I like Spirited Away better as far as the story goes, but HMC has a more fulfilling ending i think. And it kinda goes without saying that it (and Howel) is absolutely gorgeous!
