Winter Black & White Art contest

Welcome to the Winter Black & White Art contest!

Apply here if you have a black and white/grayscale piece of your own artwork that you want to submit.

Rules:
-Fanarts or original designs are allowed - but the artwork must be yours! If you're coloring a panel, head to the Coloring Contests.

-The contest doesn't have a specific theme! Feel free to draw anything you like, it doesn't have to be winter related.

-Linearts and/or tracing over a manga panel/any other original art are not allowed. We stress: the artwork must be yours.

-If the submission was done as a collaboration, please state the names of everyone who contributed on the description. Make sure everyone who's involved agrees into taking part of the contest!

- You can submit up to 3 artworks for this contest. Only your most voted entry will be taken in account for the results though - you won't be able to win at 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at once.

Submissions
Every contest entry must be posted in this thread. You can use Photoplog or choose any image hosting site to host your pictures. However, we advise you to use Photoplog, as image sites may delete or take down your artwork.

If you're using Photoplog, click here and select "Art Contest Submissions" as the upload category.

Post a clickable thumbnail of your picture in the thread, like this one:

Pictures posted directly in the thread, without thumbnails, will be deleted. This is to assure that the forum layout stays organized, without oversized pictures breaking the layout. Photoplog generates automatic forum codes for thumbnails, most image hosting sites do the same. If you need help, just ask us by PM.

The current submissions will be added to the 1st post. If yours isn't added right away, be a little patient. The voting will only start when all the submissions are shown on the first post.

Feel free to name your artwork! If it doesn't have a title, we'll refer to it by numbers (in case you submit more than one picture).

Voting will be done in a poll in this thread.

what if the so called art piece is a scratch board? Scratch boards are black and white but it's not an original fanart. Where would I put those?

This kind of scratchboard? I never thought about this case, now you got me. Well, it could be an original fanart, but if you're just reproducing an "official" pic it's not real fanart, it's just a copy in a different media...what you guys think?

Post it anyways so we can see it, sounds interesting! :3

If there's much demand, there's still time to bring back that category for all kinds of art, the creativity contest. Should I open it then?

I'll make a compromise with you, I'll bring it back for sure in the next one and I'll try to spread the idea so we get more submissions. I really really like photography, and it would be awesome to see your pics in a real contest here :3

that's my scratch art, if you want to see what I mean (oh and I guess stipple could be put with what I mean with the scratchboard)

so will you allow it to be entered into the black and white category?

Sorry...to avoid problems, it's better to keep it and also submit it on the creativity contest on spring.

Do toned pics go here?

what if an artist's style is a copy of other artist's style? For ex:If someone posted an entry and it looks like how Kubo Tite draws(doesn't have his own style).

Where to post entries?

Is everyone welcome regardless of level?

can my entry here be an entry in coloring contest(i'll color it) as well?
