Don't know if I am happy or sad to see the end of FMA. On one hand, we get to see it end, on the other it ends... glad I have been following this manga for about 2 years and not ten lol, it'd be painful otherwise.

And can someone tell me why more and more people is thinking that 5 sacrafises are taken to gate

there are basic elements in chinese/japan culture which are Fire, Water, Wood, Earth and Metal. Therefore the 5 sacrifice are based on the 5 elements of Fire, Water, Wood, Earth and Metal

How does that explain that the sacrifices would go to the gate?
Also:
It doesn't seem to make much sense to me, just because the numbers of the sacrifices and the elements are equal: 5, proves that they are related?
