so with oro, hidan and kakuzu all dead theirs only 7 akatsuki members left right?

do you guys think their gonna get replaced or will plans continue on without these members also what are the cahnces that the remaining akatsuki members will have to get hidan oro and kakuzus rings back hummmm

Well, Kazuzu's ring is in posession of Konoha, so he won't be replaced. Hidan's one is burried underground, so Zetsu could eventually claim it and give it to a replacement, but I don't think it will happen. Story won't ever progress if Akatsuki keep respawning.

Actually, I would assume Hidan ring exploded along with the rest of the poor fellow's body.
Both Hidan and Kakuzu are therefore irreplaceable.

I have said yes, because extracting the bijuus with less persons takes too much time. And it seems akatsuki wants to do its plan very fast. But on the other hand, I had my doubts, why letting hidan and kakuzu die - was it to show akatsuki are not like undefeatable gods. Was it to make the bills konoha vs akatsuki even?

Well sasori was replaced, but or was not (if I am correct, if not sorry) - there will be prolly some shinobi like tobi and hidan who are ready to fill in the gap

The plans will continue, there members would not be replace and as for their rings, Kakuzu ring is destroyed, Hidan and Orochimaru rings would be retrieve.

Exactly, replacing members is useless. I'm still kinda mad that they replaced Sasori (although Tobi is very cool), becasue the entire Sasori fight loses its value wich in turn hurts the entire arc.

i don't think they should be replaced it's just dumb the story would never end (not that i want it to). I got annoyed when tobi appeared it was like sasori got killed for nothing...and i just decided to read hitokugutsu's post above me which says practically the same thing...great minds think alike huh

I could only see one about one of them getting replaced...and that is Oro...
I don't know why...but for some reason I see Kabuto using it and going to Akatsuki...

With Konoha hot on their trails as well as others, AK needs to replace the lost ones as fast as they can. They're gonna need all 9 to extract bijus higher in power....especially Kyuubi.

Theres 10 members in total. Although one ring should probably be in Konoha. The other buried or exploded and the final one with Oro's Corpse/Kabuto/Sasuke. We shall see.

Too much Akatsuki Respawn is more than enough I suppose though I do love their adventures =p

Well, that explains why Tobi wasn't made a member of Akatsuki until Sassori's ring was recovered, as well as why he just didn't replace Orochimaru earlier.

What I think though is that Akatsuki may very well be a much larger organization than we've been lead to believe. It could be that there are 10 members of Akatsuki that exist within its command positions in the Hierarchy and those positions are tied to those rings.

Remember, AL's goal is to create one super ninja village unified under it's banner. We're talking about an army of tens of thousands of Ninja here. No one can raise an army over night. So chances are, even though there are 7 main Akatsuki members at the moment, it is possible that they already have a small army of rouge ninja already waiting the wings. The ruined city that AL was shown sitting at could actually be full of rouge Ninja. (By the way, it is a city, a steam boat that big would be too heavy to remain afloat any anything smaller than an ocean, and then it would have be surrounded on all sides by water. I mean just what we could see of the thing was the size of a small island. Even if you could build a boat with skyscrapers on top, the resources needed to build it would be so excessive that there would be no way to keep such a location a secret.)

Well, if you consider the fact that Akatsuki only has about 2 or 3 more bijuu to seal. Each one took about 3 days when orochimaru was gone. Now that 2 more members are missing I would say it would take like 5 days total per bijuu.

The odd thing is that Sasori got replaced relatively quickly, and tobi already seemed to have budding relationships with the current members. You think they have like an office somewhere and people bring in a resume to apply for akatsuki? They must have a waiting list of people that are worthy of akatsuki. I don't see how you can replace a trusted member of akatsuki so quickly if they weren't already involved with the organization.

*That's all following what strongarm said as well. I mean, I don't think it's a huge army, but a few extra people here and there that they keep in contact with just in case something goes wrong.

The next step will be a traitor from within konoha showing his/her alliance to the Akatsuki all long.

Hmm, I don't think its really possible for Jiraiya to be a traitor from within Konoha. If Jiraiya was a traitor for Akatsuki why would he bring Naruto back to the village at all. Think about it, no one in the village had any idea when Naruto was coming back until he showed up. It would have been easier for him to babysit Naruto until Akatsuki was ready to come for him and then hand him over on a silver platter.

Here is something to consider about Kakuzu's ring. Kakuzu's autopsy showed that he'd been cut all over his body with cuts so fine that that even into the veins of his chakra network. As likely as it is that Konoha has Kakuzu's ring, its is equally likely that the ring itself was destroyed.
