So 'n so episode, I was hoping for a lot better. Pain killing those shinobi in the beginning sucked, the only fun part was attracting that last guy (although it's supposed to go much faster). They're also mixing up some events happening such as

that Kakashi vs God Pain was already supposed to have started

before Sakura knocked out the centipede. Now it seems like they have the whole infrastructure of carrying wounded to the hospital under control already while Tsunade didn't even receive any reports yet

The music could have been used to much greater effect as well. I think they did make a new theme which plays at some point, but you can barely hear it.
All in all, meh Let's hope next week is better.

I agree, you couldn't hear the music very well, which took a lot of the impact. I love this arc, so I can't wait for the next episode, but there seems to be a LOT of flashbacks =/

Yeah the effect I was hoping for on me when Pain arrived was definitely not there. Was very anti-climatic. The music was great though. I was looking for much more FEAR with Pain...after all he's called himself a God. His episodes should reek of destruction, death and makes jounin piss their pants

On the good side animation was done well in some parts.

I disagree. I think the build-up to this moment was just fine, plus some other activities to broaden things out-like using the Byakugan for playing cards. They positioned everything where its supposed to be, even Ino running to the Intel corp instead of notifying the Hokage. Meh, it all works out.

They're also mixing up some events happening such as

that Kakashi vs God Pain was already supposed to have started

In my point of view, they are kicking the less interesting parts aside to make a whole continuous episode (maybe 2 episodes) with the first main part of Pain's invasion.

In other words, 1 or 2 episodes of Kakashi's battle against the god realm Pain without any interruption by side stories.
I aprove this with a smile on my lips.

And Inoichi (Ino's father) is soooooooooo good looking.

I don't like this episode. It's boring as the animation, which was very simplied (see the Naruto face, gosh, I would have done better than it!!)

And it's weird, but in the previews the animation seemed better and different...




These scenes are completely different in the episode aired! I suspect that they have remade some parts of the epi, hurry ....

The preview of next episode seems normal. I thought I was worse, instead of drawing Eum Ik-Hyun seems improved, perhaps have raised the budget ...

Please add the bolded part I edited into the opening post the next times please. I've had to put it in for weeks now. The one that makes the thread is always supposed to put it in him/herself. Read this thread for more information on the bolded part aswell as to copy it.

Episode was so-so. Some of it was good, some of it was epically awful, such as most of the Pain scenes. I'm not really looking forward to the next episode either if they keep up this quality of animation. This is my favorite arc so I would be very dissapointed if they kept this level for most of the arc.

Well, I have to agree -- I am completely disappointed in this episode, which is a shame because Shippuuden has been on quite a roll ever since the Sora filler arc ended. Oh well, I am hoping what we are seeing here is what we've seen in the past -- the complete B team is getting put on for a few episodes to give the A team time to do full episodes (and not just a few fight scenes). I really hope this means Naruto's fights are epic.

Honestly, though... who could watch that initial Pain scene, as an editor or the art team, and be at all happy with it and release it? That was just so poorly done.

I guess I am disappointed because Kakashi versus Pain was one of my favorite fights in Part 2. Great use of trickery, misdirection and strategy. I was really hoping to see things like the Raitonbushin get epic animation. Ah well.

That's the exact same thing i always think!
How can a professional art team be happy with this?Don't they look at the colors and the animation?It just seems ridiculous to me when i think about the fact that those animators are supposed to be pros...

Surely I also expected much better than this. It could have been epic but animators know how to screw Naruto Shippuuden. Next Episode does not look good too. I hope they animate the upcoming battles better than this.
