Yup. This will be a huge personality shift for Gon. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he develops some psychological disorder like PTSD or DID.

Gon killed from the start of the Ant arc (when kaito was alive), and he wasalways of the opinion Killing didn't matter as long as you were in a serious fight.

Gon was never that pure- if he breaks down, it's because he is too whole in what he does.

I dunno, Gon seems very pure. Childlike. Straightforward. Innocent.

Gon doesn't stop to think about lying, betrayal, etc... He just trusts people. And if they betray him, he kills them. Simple as that.

Also, people have been suggesting that this might be a power-up or new ability. Hell no... The mangaka has been hitting us over the head repeatedly with what a huge sacrifice this is. I'd go with the guess that he's burning up his life, his future, his raw potential and has just tossed away YEARS. The question, at this point, is if Killua can save him before there's too much damage. If he's lucky and the mangaka is very nice, he might just lose 3, 4, or 5 years. If not, could be 10, 15, 20, 30 years gone, years at which his fastest growth would have come...

I'm guessing Gon just gave away his genius. He was an individual virtually without limits on his growth. Now he's a REALLY strong adult who just picked up a glass ceiling, a cap.

I'd say Gon is straightfoward and whole. Not innocent, nor childlike.

It's true, though, that him being so whole is dangerous. On one side, it gives him an incredible determination.

On another, if it cracks.... well, we saw what happened (we had biscuit being worried about that from the moment she first met gon and Killua back with the scissor guy).

Gon said that he was able to kill because they new they were all "bad", remember when someone feared that he may be able to fight against a chimera too close of being a good human. Pitou was selfish, and that was what made he want so much to kill him. He cried before finally finish her, because of Killua, who wanted him to stop pushing himself. But he pushed anyway, that's why.


And I liked the technique, and think it was very well thinked, really. But he only mattured the body. And the hair is the only thing that has grown because the nails would be disgusting! lol

I was just thinking.... gin is a hunter who searches for ruins and whatnot... He was also said to be the one who restored a number of ruins. What if his nen ability is meant to restore things to their former glory? I'd be interesting if gin at some point shows up and restores the potential gon lost while going through the worlds fastest puberty.

Although being one of the top 5 guys ion the world, that means his technique should have a considerate destructive power.

^Destructive power is not something which a nen user must have though. It is merely suppose to fit you. Take bisk, he nen has 0 destructive power and she is still quite a brutal fighter -perhaps it does have battle applications though.

I know it's not needed, but making to the top 5 Hunters shouldn't be for "only one thing" users. Like Neon, for example. her technique is not only amazing, but useful and it's one of the most strange we've seen so far. Yet, her skills are only focused on that without any other skill. I doubt she will survive the top 500, actually.

The top 5 I imagine is able to balance their abilities enough to deal with different situations and possible obstacles, including some enemy.
