Poor Roy, I'd blame it on old age but Fergie and to a lesser extent Wenger are around his age too. Gary Neville shouldn't have been hired by Sky or England, should've stayed at home playing playstation or doing whatever old has been players do with the rest of their lives.
As bad as he was this year, I still don't think he was as bad as some of the German commentators during the CL Final. I was in Germany for it, and the commentators were so biased it wasn't funny. Not only that, but some of the commercials featuring Bayern players were longer than the entire pregame coverage Chelsea received. You'd think that only one team was playing in the Final the way the way it was being represented before the match.
There were lines such as, translated into English, "Chelsea's playstyle isn't pretty at all," as well as various other negative comments. Ballack and one of the other idiotic commentators predicted 3-0 and 4-0 wins for Bayern, respectively. The other two pundits gave fair 1-1 and 2-2 draws. It was just terrible.
Does Chelsea even have a playing style? lol
They're the most boring 'top team' to watch. So I would give the commentators that one... cuz it's true
Anyway, England vs Belgium, missed the first half and England is up by one. Hope this game is as good as the hype it had.
Kakashi, the point was that it was the most unequal presentation of a sporting event that I've ever seen. I know that I was watching a German broadcast, but sheesh...I switched over to English Sky after the end, and then we got something fairer, but at that point, the German commentators and fans were gutted, so there was nothing to say. The English commentators made some positive remarks.
Even now that we've improved our side, I still don't know if we have a playing style. I mean, it's a 4-2-3-1 no matter how you look at it, but...
In terms of the match, apart from more English players getting small injuries, it was a more or less solid performance. I predict that France wins 2-0 or 3-1.
So Liverpool sold Kuyt for 1 million....1 MILLION!? REALLY? KUYT?! WTF are they thinking? That's honestly disrespectful imo.
Kuyt's been a solid player for Liverpool since they signed him 6 years ago, it's a shame to see him leave but hope him all the best in Turkey. So another England player pulled out yesterday and that wasn't the biggest problem, Gary Cahill who pulled out was replaced by a relatively unknown Liverpool defender and Rio Ferdinand was once again shunned.
I don't know why England is so confident even if several of their key players will miss Euro.. I know it's too early to ask, but in your opinion which country has the biggest chance to win the cup?
DONT WORRY, £49.4M ANNUAL LOSS IN 2011, KUYT SOLD FOR €1M (RELEASE CLAUSE FOR THE CONTRACT), A MANAGER THAT NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE CAN DO AND... DONT WORRY WE HAVE DOWNING SO BARCLAY'S GOING TO MERSEYSIDE, WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY. FUCK ME.
I feel like Germany has the best shot to win for some reason. It would be easy to say Spain, but they'll be down Villa and Puyol and I'm not sure in what form Torres will be. Holland is up there too.
Germany always get far, they're tournament specialists. I really feel like Holland can do it this year, not that I'm disregarding Spain because I feel like they're midfield alone can win them the tournament. But looking at the collective difference from 4 years ago, they've gone slightly backwards I feel, especially as you've rightly mentioned the absence of Villa and Puyol; with the latter being one of the most charismatic players to have ever played the game.
