The only question mark for Spain is Xavi...which is a huge one still. Iniesta is only 28, and Villa 30. There's no reason those three don't have another World Cup up their sleeve. Iker will still be playing methinks...Puyol, maybe not. But Spain didn't have him or Villa in the EC so who knows.

Germany is stacked but they just haven't been able to capitalize when it matters most.

And yeah...Brazil. I just don't see it. Yes, it being in Brazil will help, but I don't know if that's enough to overcome the true best teams in the world and Brazil hasn't played well enough for me to consider them top level anymore.

I've been surprised by all of these results this week. Right now, Chelsea's somehow losing at home to Reading. The first Reading goal was sort of understandable, but Cech utterly failed at that free kick, letting it bounce off him.

Really pissed that Arsenal have sold not only Van Persie but Song too; it's like Wenger wants to see how much of a handicap he can give the team before winning any silverware.

Moved all NFL related posts to correct thread. Guys please remember that this is a FOOTBALL/SOCCER thread, NOT NFL. Thank you~

Well, you nearly beat City, but then Skrtel came to City's rescue. How's that defense going for you? :P

And should have won against Man City today... stupid mistakes cost us 2 points. 1 loss is nothing, we showed today that we can compete and beat any team if we keep our act together and not give up goals.

Well, Raheem Sterling looks to be a quite a fine young player. You have to look at the fact that Balotelli should've nipped forward and had a goal at one point and that Aguero's injured. If Aguero were there, he most likely would've seized on that tap in and may've had another goal.

Well considering he was the one giving us the header I'm not really complaining. Without him it would've ended level anyway, 0-0.

Yeah. The fact that Aguero is injured and Silva isn't at his best does have a part to play, but we didn't have Agger, arguably our best defender. But I agree, Sterling is a quality young player and Shelvey has shown a lot of improvement over the years. Maybe Sahin will give us that extra quality in the midfield and Borini can get in form to start scoring some goals.

Just watched Chelsea get raped by Atletico

Falcao really did it to that defense...
