Im so happy that Mourinho's gone to Madrid, maybe now he can whip those losers into shape and make a real team out of them. I hope the board does give him control over decisions regarding the team and just let him do things his way.
Benitez leaves by mutual consent. I cannot help but think this is going to be akin to the 90's for liverpool. A slow and torturous descent into mediocrity, but i suppose it all depends on who they pick next. Although i doubt considering the transfer budget anybody could do better. True idiots at the helm of the club. And meanwhile the inter milan position is available. Benitez seems almost destined to go there. Whatever happened last season he still is a world class manager.
They won't find anyone better than him who would be willing to take over. All the good coaches have it good at their current clubs. The only person I could think of was Martin O'neil but there's no way he'd leave Villa for Liverpool imo. Liverfools are stupid for letting him go. I think Benitez said it best when he said that he achieved too much too early on in his time there, so the expectations were ridiculously high.
I think Martin O'Neil would be a great choice for Liverpool right now. Villa may loose a few key players this summer. It's going to be interesting who will take Rafa's seat now. Gawd, I hope the rumours are false about Inter considering Rafa as a replacement for Jose.
Arsenal rejected an offer from Barca for Fab.
Yeah I saw that Arsenal rejected the offer, I hope they agree on something soon and let him go. I wouldn't want an unhappy player staying because they couldn't work out something.
It seems that joe cole might be leaving to old trafford. I dunno, hes when he is on form but damn what an injury prone player. I would have been pissed if he joined arsenal. We already have to many of that sort....
We've got too many of those injury prone players; Vela, Eduardo, Van Persie, Clichy, etc...
Roy Hodgson has been officially named the new Liverpool boss. lol This should be a very interesting season for them. I wonder who will manage Fulham now!? It doesn't look good for them.
Damn you, Rafa! Why the hell did Inter go with him for?
New Fulham manager is one of Rodgon's old assistants. I don't know his name. I'm really chuffed for Hodgon to finally be managing a big team and he said he wasn't gonna wait forever for the England job, so he took this.
So David Silva is gone to Man City.
They've also gotten yaya toure, its going to be a really impressive lineup next season. Tevez, Adebayor, Robino, Silva, Yaya, De jong etc. Only positions that are weak are RB and CB. They can probably challenge for the title they have a strong XI and a strong bench.
I can't wait for the season to start! it's gonna sick man! Man City are gonna be on a rampage but I'm more looking forward to Spanish footbal because the special one and Real Madrid's reluctance to give their managers' complete control is a match made in football heaven.
Hahaha, i know. Mourinho is really something, i hope he starts pissing people off in the first week. He's not going to last longer than 2 seasons thats for sure, but with the squad they have he will most likely win a lot of trophies for them.
In other news, today has been busy. Chelsea sign benayoun from liverpool as joe coles replacement. I actually feel for liverpool, they're decent into mediocrity will be long and tortuous. Just like the 90's. . . .
Yep, I'm happy for Hodgson as well! I don't think he'll be able to hang onto the likes of Torres or even Mascherano for that matter. Torres perfectly fits the La Liga style of play imo and I heard Barca want Mascherano; what a team they'll have next season, hey?
I agree with Impy (do you mind me calling you that? XD! ) above me in regards to Pool. lol Tough times for them imo.
Utd thought last season was shit for them. What the hell do you think the up and coming season is going to be like? We seriously need to get some great players into the squad this summer. I wonder how long it'll take for the City team to gel together? Tevez is still the best player in their line up for me anyway.
Arsenal need to also bolster their team too, a strong goalkeeper and centre half and target man. Big time players who have proven themselves. I can't wait to see Chamakh play though, I hope he settles fast.
