Well, it's apparently not working out for Arsenal, so I feel like a fool for believing in them.

I had no hopes for this match, not even watching it.

Well, it is 2-1 now, so you've pulled one back.

Arsenal were a no show. Spurs derservedly won and sets them up real nice in third.

I'm already nervous for the showdown that'll take place this tuesday!

Well, the United vs Madrid match was always going to be the highlight match this week.

My picks for the teams to progress (not counting the results as I'm not positive of a win or a draw in certain matches) are as follows:

Madrid, Dortmund, Valencia (Ibra and Veratti being out will be a huge problem for PSG), and Juventus.

So what though? It's still amusing.

Oh. Actually, until you mentioned it was Maradona, I didn't realize that it was him. I thought that it was just some random bearded Spanish speaking guy who took a picture of himself and put it on twitter or something.

Then again, Maradona, being Argentinian, should think that Messi's better. Although, given that Aguero's Maradona's son-in-law, shouldn't Maradona think that Aguero's the best player in the world?

    You serious?

Yeah, he just seems like a bitter asshole unless there's another story behind it like losing a bet or something.

Sadly, I am serious. It just looked like a random guy to me.

Probably, unless it's him trying to claim that the reason that he didn't win the WC with Argentina was all Messi's fault. Messi was pretty awful in that WC, but he wasn't the only one who failed.

Higuain was better than him, yeah. Messi had a couple assists, Argentina was just unlucky to run into Germany in the quarterfinals. One could say they had it easy in the Group stage though.

Yeah, but it's not as if Argentina was even in Germany's class in that much. They were beaten soundly, regardless of Messi's talent, on every area of the pitch, and at the level Messi played at, Argentina was outclassed in all 11 positions.

Even England were better than Argentina in that WC.

You mean the same England side that only scored 2 goals in the Group stage and wasn't able to win theirs, and lost in the Round of 16 with the likes of the US, Slovakia, South Korea, Japan, and Chile?

    Sorry, no.

Yeah, but at least England scored a goal against Germany to make it 2-1, and if the ref hadn't missed it, Lampard's goal would've made it 2-2. Who knows where the match would've gone from there. I know it ended 4-1, but...
