    Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

Kishi just introduced a very interesting character:

Kaguya, the rabbit goddess (or demon)

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm really interested about that new character, and I'm wondering what Kishi will do with her.

Sure, she's supposed to be long gone and dead, but we know that in Naruto, that never stopped anyone!

So I created this thread to discuss this character.

    -----------

Here are a few topic we can discuss:

    1- Is she an alien?
The way that Rikudo (or Hagoromo) said that her mother came from afar make me believes that she's an alien.

That and the horn on her head!

    2- Is she evil?
Just look at her. She looks so evil!

And she only came to eat the chakra fruit and get all of his power that she used to rule over everyone.

    3- What happened to her?

Rikudo never said what happened to her.

Although, the way he talks, it seems that when his brother and him defeated the Juubi, she was already gone, since he said that they did that to repent for their mother's sins.

4- Will she come back into the story?
Seeing as not only her, but her other son (Rikudo's brother) are introduced so late in the story makes me believe that they will appear later.

I honestly thought that no one could top Madara as a last boss, because he was so strong.
But, if someone can it's Rikudo.

And now, Kishi just introduced a mysterious brother, and his mother, who we said was even stronger than him...

So, if we were ever in need of a stronger villain than Madara, we just got one...

    ---

Honestly, I was kinda tired of this manga, and wanted it to end after the 4th great war, but I'm really interested in Kaguya, so I wouldn't mind continuing the story to see what Kishi has in mind for her.

Re: Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

Looking at her makes me wonder if she's connected to Jugo's clan. Could her appearance be because of Senjutsu? But you can't have Senjutsu without Charka first right?

That's just one thought I have about her, another is maybe she is a alien, and the Sage of six and his brother are Hybrids of the two races. Sage didn't talk about his father maybe she rape some poor villager.

I think she is evil because she came to their land to become a god and rule over men.

We still haven't heard about Hagoromo's father, who may have been a noble human, the mother must have been an alien somehow evil, so my feeling is that Hagoromo inherited his father's will but his brother inherited Kaguya's will.

Re: Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

The first thing I thought was she looks like the Shinigami of the Shiki Fuujin. Her hands and nails, her hair, her robe.

Just dessicate her physical body and face and I think she's a ringer for it. It wouldn't surprise me given how the populace feared her that that is what she became, perhaps as punishment for stealing the fruit. Immense power but a never ending death as a reaper of souls....

naw I believe Shinigami is Hagoromo's brother more likely. maybe he didn't have such an happy ending after fighting the 10 tails, hell nobody even remembers him.

Re: Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

Well, it's an interesting theory, but I just looked at the shinigami again, and the horn are really different.

Kaguya's horn really do look like rabbit ear, which is why she was called the Rabbit Goddess.

On the other end, the Shinigami's are more like bull horns...
    Not quite the same, imo.

Although, it could just be a design change, and the theory might still be valid.

But the stink that filled the privy gave ample evidence that the oft-repeated jape about his father was just another lie. Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold

Re: Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

Well Kaguya could still be alive or something. Maybe she got absorbed by the Juubi and got sealed in the moon as well. Also, the Rabbit Goddess is one that traverses into different dimensions, so maybe she could just be locked up in another dimension, not the kamui dimension, but another dimension totally apart. Maybe the brothers sealed her because they couldn't defeat her.

I don't think so, but it would be cool, because in Naruto, wetruly NEED a badass female villain!! ( even if it's a bit too late for that now)

    Cool Well...

While I believe Kaguya is mostly dead by now, however, I also believe that she will still feature prominently in the story.

Kaguya, for all practical purposes, is Kishimoto's final attempt at reedeming female characters and offering them a path to power which they long lacked in order to achieve a credible role.

Before Kaguya came by, there was no female in this story who was placed on equal or superior footing as males.

Whereas Naruto and Sasuke could always draw more power and relevance because of their connections to Hashirama, Madara, Indra, Ashura and Hagormo, there was no female historical figure who could connect with other female characters in the present and give them a role in this twisted family plot that became Naruto.

Kaguya can change all that, a female character who wasn't just the most poweful of all time but also was at the beginning of the very foundation of the ninja world instead of merely serving as the wife of someone who made a big impact like Mito and Kushina.

Kaguya can show up for Sakura, Hinata or Karin and give to any or all of them an explanation as to why the world is in it's current state, she can even give them parts of her power to make them close the massive gap between the leading male and female characters of the show.

Having the heroines, through Kaguya, finally understanding the story behind the world while receiving the power to aid Naruto and Sasuke in battle as relevant fighters would definately make up for their complete lack of focus through the entire series.

Re: Kaguya Ootsutsuki, the rabbit goddess

Well, it seems that most of us were right to think that Kaguya came back as a villain!
I'm happy to be right, but at the same time, I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Naruto-Sasuke vs Madara,

Still, the fight against Kaguya will certainly be epic!
