What does he actually mean here ? Is he talking about controlling the Gedo Statue or what is the explanation behind this statement.

He was talking about the substitute for nine tails...the kyuubi chakra stored in the pots by the golden brothers or whoever. **


**My initial theory about this statement before all the revelations was...Madara Tobi needed a "substitute body" every time he went out to battle.

during the battle between minato and A (fourth raikage), A said that minato is the guy who single handedly prevented the invasion of kyuubi. but didn't minato die during kyuubi's invasion?? than what did he actually meant by that??

Are you talking about this page? If so, Raikage was talking about when Kumo tried to kidnap Kushina, I think (we don't know if they made an attempt to get the Kyuubi itself and not Kushina, or if they made another attempt). You can see the two or three-page flashback when Kushina appears to help Naruto against Kyuubi. It was years before the Kyuubi was freed and attacked Konoha.
