New opportunities for Naruto due to his association with Uzumaki

Naruto's mother Kushina is from Whirlpool country about which we know nothing.

Naruto's association with WhirlPool Country could introduce a few developments that could really bring new turns or be used to support Naruto's new jutsu or his development.

1. Whirlpool is made by Water + Air (currents). so i think this country people should have had some relation with Mist and Suna village. With more relation towards Mist, since Mist is a combination of Water and Air with both being in its fixed state and WhirlPool has both the elements in its fierce/agitated state. Its possible that WhirlPool was once the head village for Water country and since it was destroyed somehow, Mist Village become the head village.
This again leads to few interesting possibilities
Naruto's relation with Mist make one more village be his ally not by the current scenario but by love.
We already have Rain, Suna and Konoha with Naruto because of love. IT seems soon Mist will also join the bond of love. It will be cool if Naruto has blood relation with Water country, which will help them to fight for the cause of Naruto with their heart.
He might get Water as an element
He might be related with Mizukage, who might help him control more elements and mix different elements together and might learn a new jutsu
2. Kushina might have some Kekkei Genkai which allows her to control tailed beast/Kyuubi.
3. Naruto might combine 4th's and Kushina's jutsu and make some uber jutsu of S grade or higher

There might be more these or some of my thoughts, please put your thoughts in how the story may be influenced by the connection.

So far Naruto has great relations with the sand and soon the cloud villages. I think in order for him to change the world he needs important people from every village to be friends with him. Gaara the kazekage, Bee the Raikage's brother. Kushina might have been important and could lead to new relations with the mist seeing as it seems to be a water village.

Although Kishi could write it i'd be surprised if Kushina turned out to be hugely important to any given village. It would feel like it was just pulled out of nowhere. I know we've not heard a lot about her but that's kind of why it would feel strange to suddenly have her pop up as a super powreful or important ninja. You'd have thought there would be a little foreshadowing or even a tiny hint she was anything more important than the 4th's wife......

As far as getting water as an element.... I know people expect it because it has dominance over Sasuke's fire BUT what techniques would Naruto gain and how would he train for them. I don't think Kishi will go for a training arc for basic water techs given the escalation in his training. It seems like an anticlimax to go Sage mode..... Kyubi Control..... basic water techniques.... I also dount we'll see it mixed with air as a new element since that's a bloodline limit and I don't think Kishi would go for a suiton raisen shuriken cause it's too samey.

I also don't see her having a bijou control anything... Kishi has said enough how rare bijou control was and how only a select few were able to perfectly control one and she wasn't on the list it would also be too convenient IMO.

As far as her having a bloodline limit, again, I think it would be an anticlimax next to Naruto's recent gains and he doesn't need it. I think Kishi has made him the nominated Senju for the current generation to face the nominated Uchiha (Sasuke). One of the definining aspects of the senju was they lacked a bloodline limit (aside from the first) so i think he'll mirror that.

Basically I think she'll probably be moral support.... a bit dull compared to your prediction but I think more likely .

@Bonfire01: I agree with 99% of what u said. But over the weekend I've given the whole Kushina thing another thought, and even though I agree that the support she will provide will not be physical in anyway(a la yondaime) but in spite of that it will move Naruto more profoundly than even we have expected up until now. ichidaime/1st(has he ever been to referred to in that way?) has always been perceived to have a bloodline limit/ abiity that controlled the bijuu. We pretty much have little to no info on what came before him, but we know for sure that it's unlikely to be Kekkai Genkai as niether Nidaime, Godaime, Nawaki or anyone in between has been mentioned to retain the ability. So I've come to the conclusion that it must have been his Pure will, the will of a man who innovated amongst the strife and established the first true great ninja nation, combining ninjas amongst vast numbers of warring clans. A feat which I would say is on ar to what Naruto has been prophecized to achieve.

(I forgot to add this but in the case of Tenzou/Yamato he cannot "control" the Kyuubi. All he's ever been shown to do is bind Naruto with wood. Yes he has suppressed the chakra but Kakashi has as well with a mere paper seal, a tool provided from Jiraiya who had the key and therefore ultimate control. The 1sts genes only allow Tenzou control over Mokuton justu and not bijuu control. The reason why his attempts were partially successful was because of the 1sts necklace, which we now know no longer exists and have yet, if ever to see the effects of his ability to restrain now.)

Basically my point is that if will alone has the power to influence many first opposing people to form a nation, then that will should also be able to overcome a bijuu.

So no I'm not in agreeance with the theory that he will unlock a Kekkai Genkai or some randomly produced demon control. But rather that with his mothers guidance, his mothers faith and acceptance, after the 16-17 years he spent finding his own path to know that he was already given one and was never truly alone from the start, it will be enough to free him from his doubt and allow him to be truly reborn , manifesting a will of fire so pure it will extinguish kyuubis hatred instantly.

After that we'll see "The Gutsy Ninja"

@ajith_sakthi: I like the idea of Naruto being related to the current Mizukage. They do have matching eyes and hair, could be an aunt. Whatever relation she could be, she may have remained distant 'til now as Kushinas death may have been too painful for her. If there are any links I doubt they will be unveiled now as Naruto's life is hanging in the balance at the moment. We'd have to wait for an actual interaction between the two, which may come soon as Naruto will want to gather intelligence from all those that have fought Sasuke or seen him fight.

I doubt we'll see such plot developments since Kishimoto seems incapable of writing something in this manga that doesn't revolve around Sasuke and his clan.
