I'm glad you got your SAL package so soon! ^^
My experience with SAL had been... rather horrible... but it's good to know that someone is able to get it in 9 days
You're very welcome.
Yeah, I bought some volumes from Acclimate Solutions this week. Boku to Issho & a Hideo Yamamoto manga.
I just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I'm in Australia and Japanese websites and preorders don't really worry me, but I do like a decent interface so I think I'll be giving bk1 a go.
tell me how you go =] thanks. Gonna use ggpx advice first before using something I'm not comfortable with yet.
They used to have a website but it was taken down I believe, anyways this is where I go on a regular basis because they Sell Weekly Shonen Jump there. I even picked up issue 33 just the other day and that just came out last week! so they get in new merchandise very quickly.
Alot of the raw provides ain't from japan, so does that mean you can order manga to other contries and how?
Well a lot of the anime and manga releases from Japan are exported all over the world. As far as raws not coming from Japan, weekly magazines like Shonen Jump are not only sold in Japan but are exported to other countries. How do I know this, well thats because there is an actuall brick and mortar store near where I live that sells the magazine.
ikcud: I got my shipment from bk1 last week and I'd have to say that I'm pretty happy:
- Their range is quite extensive
- I haven't had any problems with the website interface
- I was very happy with the range of shipping options offered
- The manga arrived fairly promptly (in the same post as an order of DS softs from Yesasia that I'd made the same day)
- They were definitely well-packaged
- They were reasonably priced
Barring anything unforeseen it's pretty certain that I'll be using them again.
Hi. This is very helpful. The only thing I need to know is if I buy some mangas from a Japanese store and they are sent to the US, how much would the US Customs charge me? Would I have to pay anything? I'm very confused about this. No one from the US on this thread has mentioned anything about it...
Please help! Thanks!
For Canada, I just had the book prices and the shipping price AcclimateSolutions told me and that was it. No additional costs.
That kind of helps. I don't know if this is true or not, but someone told me that since the US and Japan have tense relationships when it comes to importing/exporting, the fees are high. Can anyone in the US tell me if they have to pay customs fines or something that isn't price of books + shipping?
aurickandrien - Which shipping option you use? I'm gonna start using them since it went smoothly with you.
ikcud - I used SAL (economy air)
Anyone knows if I can order Shonen Magazine ? If yes, where ?! (I don't understand their website T.T)
Edit: I've read the posts above, I think I can find where to go !! Thanks Kaiten.Sama for moving my post and all of you for your informations !!!!
