i want alma to live as well but i doubt he will. i mean if alma died in this arc wouldn't it end every bodies problems (for the time being). i mean i don't want alma to just end up dieing i want him and kanda to make up and then he dies protecting kanda the the rest of the people that are there.(but its highly unlikely!)

Uh, it will be too hard for Kanda if he loses his friend after they reconciliate. But then, it won't make much difference to him, he's got used to being alone. (actually I can't imagine a happy Kanda) I've no idea what's gonna happen.
Didn't Alma's collapse by the way reminded you of Kanda's collapse during the fight with Skin Boric?

Ok something scared the crap out of me.

I typed Alma in online translators (after hearing that it meant Soul in Portugeese) and I've get the following.

Land = meaning

Finnish = Is.
Hebrew= YOUNG WOMAN....
Hungarian = Apples.
Portugeese/Spanish= Soul.
Turkish = Making.

"Alma" is not "making"... in Turkish
"Alma" is old form of "Elma" and that means "Apple"

And.. is not just "soul" in portugeese " also "nourishing"
online dictionaries are not sufficient to translate...

After chapter 197, I can't see Alma surviving. The Earl said he is a walking corpse and his regeneration ability is not working. He will survive long enough for him and Kanda to make up and find some peace, and then he will die. Alma has suffered and will probably have a hard time fitting in with everyone anyway if he did survive. I like Alma, but I can't see him surviving.

At the end of the last flasthback, Kanda was killing Alma. Tearing and tearing him without stop. It was not shown in detail, only a couple of pages and then Allen enraged seeing that scene and hit Kanda in the forehead.
It was a hard scene so i guess Hoshinosensei avoided show it in detail, but that's what happened, exactly as Johny said according to the good translation.


You guys remember Cross was able to fix an akuma to be a good being? Remember Komusuke? If Cross learnt this from the 14th (or just if Cross appear again) maybe one of them can save Alma supressing/canceling his akuma core?

I believe he's alive. Because, if he was dead, there wouldn't be any point in us being kept in the dark, right?...
Actually, hardly any really good characters die. I mean, there is Komusuke, Cross' woman (I can't recall her name), Tapp... and that's about it. No one of the main characters or people we are used to, like River, Komui, Marie, die... On the other hand, a lot of "unimportant" people die; like the finders. To tell the truth, I was kinda dissapointed when everyone survived after Alma's wake. I trully believed that SOMEONE will die after that... Yet Hoshino saved everyone again She's taking good care of them
