New Air gear OAD

Look like air gear is getting an original oad XDD. Satelight will be animating it and it is centered on the ringo vs ikki fight. Here's the news:

Well it would be interesting to see, though its really hard to match the mangas presentation.

Id always hoped for a studio like KyoAni or Bones to have a crack at it. At its best Bones have nailed the freefall and running animation seen in Eureka 7 and Xam'd anyway.

Even the studio that does the Bleach movies might be good...they do the whole fighting under the moonlight exceptionally well...the same time at which the fight seems to be taking place..

Shinji Ishihira (Aoi Kokuhaku, Fairy Tail, Tokyo Majin) will storyboard and direct off a script written by Jun Maekawa (Bakugan Battle Brawlers, Digimon Adventure 02, The Prince of Tennis). Satelight is producing the project with character designer Osamu Horiuchi (Burst Angel, Ga-Rei -Zero-, Hayate the Combat Butler). Thomas Romain (Oban Star-Racers, Aria the Natural, Basquash!) and Yann Le Gall (Basquash!) are in charge of the art and prop designs. Stanislas Brunet (Basquash!, Macross Frontier, Nishi no Yoki Majo - Astraea Testament) is responsible for the mechanical designs.

Nobuhiko Okamoto will voice the main character Ikki, while Yukari Fukui will play Kururu. Haruka Tomatsu will play Ringo. The main staff and cast for this new Satelight anime are both different from the staff and cast in Toei's 2006 television anime version.
