We started this episode with one of the most interesting characters in this series, IMHO, I’m referring to Lucile Eris. The conversation between Lucile and Sion at the beginning of this episode was fascinating as it was terrifying. During said conversation we learned that Lucile was willing to help Sion become the king of Roland but only if Sion was able to pass Lucile’s test (a test to see whether or not Sion was suitable to become the king).
Taking a school test is hard and stressful as it is, so I can only imagine how nerve-racking it must be to take a test where if your examiner thinks you answered one question wrong the consequence for your wrong answer isn’t a zero but your own life!! Props must be given to Sion for the way he accepted Lucile’s challenge and for the reasons why he did it. Lucile and Sion are both very intriguing men. And while I find myself fangirling over Ryner the most; I must say that I really, really like Sion.

Btw…I’m very, very, very curious about the questions Lucile asked Sion and the answers Sion gave to Lucile.
Now…I apologize in advance but my inner fangirl wants to come out to play for a little bit…so I love Ryner!!!!

He is incredible!!! This episode made me love Ryner so much more!!!
He is described as a lazy guy, but he is so much more than that. Ryner’s conversation with the spider when he first notices the presence of it was so adorable, cute and funny.
But the spider wasn’t the only one with whom Ryner became friends with during the almost two years he spent in prison; Ryner also became good friends with the jailer in charge of taking care of him. In fact, the jailer grew so fond of Ryner that he cried when he released him from prison and led him to what he thought would be Ryner’s execution. If it wasn’t for the fact that I really doubted they were going to kill one of the main characters of this series so early in the story, I would have been just as depressed as the jailer.
Ryner vs. Feris was awesome!!

It was cool and funny at the same time; I do enjoy the interactions between these two.

And wow, Feris is such an amazing swordswoman.
Ryner’s expression upon finding out who was the new king of Roland was priceless, just as priceless as Sion’s “uso dayo”.

I was glad to learn that Kiefer was still alive and that she was okay…btw, I wonder if we’ll see her again in future episodes…
“How to build a Kingdom of Afternoon Naps”, I literally went “awwww” when Sion read the title of Ryner’s report.

During his years in prison, Ryner didn’t spend his time solely taking naps; he also wrote a report, a very interesting and noble report aimed to find a way to eliminate wars across the world. And it was because of that report that Sion decided to send Ryner and Feris in a journey all over the world in order to gather heroic relics.
I wonder if Sion did that because he actually had some faith in Ryner’s report/idea of how to achieve peace and exterminate war, or if he sent them on that journey because it was the only way in which he could save Ryner from death penalty…
Dango = Feri’s ultimate weakness.

She would do anything for the sake of her beloved dango.
I didn’t fully understand Lucile and Sion’s conversation after Ryner and Feris left, but one thing I did understand is that Lucile only sees Sion as an object and will have no qualms in killing him if he isn’t useful to his plans anymore. Maybe I’m wrong but I think Lucile is the “Shadow King” in this series. I can’t help but feel sad and worried regarding Sion

…since I don’t have a good feeling about the “Shadow King”…
After listening to Ryner’s monologue as the episode was ending…I agree Ryner, a Kingdom of Afternoon Naps doesn’t sound bad at all.
