Man I forgot how much of an idiot Naruto was pre-Timeskip...

the anime makes him out to be this ridiculous bumbler who continually fails but if you read the manga he's a very quick learner and analyzer.

ex: in the anime fight with neji, he charged in even after knowing about the opening points attack and only after getting hit did he go for KB.

In the manga he made KB immediately and said it in his mind "I can't get too close".

Little things like that change the perception of a character.

rated a 2 b/c this filler seemed completely out of place.
A filler about Nagato, Konnan, and Yahiko would've been perfect in it's stead.
I wanna know more about their group, more about Yahiko being a leader, more of Nagato's "pain".

Too be honest, I was thrilled about these episodes; being Minato's legacy Naruto, I thought it'd be something involving these two on a much deeper level or something.

No need to say that by the end of one hour, I was pretty disappointed... Also because the story was... a whole lot... of nothing? ^^;

Anyway, I give this special a 5 - it was nice listening to the old soundtrack and Naruto's creepy smile was great xD

Next week, we'll be back to the main storyline but I've heard from a friend that after this arc, we'll go back to fillers: is this true...?

Completely agree with your post and it just seems like filler is made to make Naruto look like a scrub. The anime should use filler to give characters an extra shine but they always step all over Naruto. I mean when kakashi and Sasuke are in filler they are hyped like crazy and usually portrayed in a cool, relentless manor. Shit most of the time they just take Kakashi out of filler and say he's on a mission away from the village to not even waste his time with this crap. . I can't wait to see the filler after the pain arc as all already know that some loser character who will never be seen again will beat the shit out of sage Naruto then he'll win with some rasengan.

i like those two episodes i enjoyed them, it brings back memoiries!!

i think the filler won't last long, they surely will do it like they did with rokubi filler only 6 or 7 episodes.

The only good things from these episodes are the good old music and a few jokes. But the rest...Well it's filler usual quality I would say -_-'
