Well sports have a thread just for themselves ... so we gonna have to go easy on that spot ... so I would say any kind of Breaking news. Like polemic Policies or huge policies that will change the world ... possible conflicts, new technologies... anything that can be said to change the life of lots of people or the views of a certain population ... ^^

well maybe you haven't heard it ... but an American soldier leaked secret documents about Afghanistan and leaked a video showing American troops engaging civilians (they mistake the guy's camera lenses for an RPG). Now the Pentagon wants the documents back ... so what do you think ??? should Wikileaks attend to the Pentagons demands ???

hahahaha ... well the US federal Government is like a country apart from the States ... hahaha ... it is really funny to see the dynamics, however lately the US Gov have been acting up extremely violent against the States... like that Whole Arizona Immigration law I heard of.

Well the whole Arizona deal was basically that the law encouraged racial discrimination. It said the cops can pull over and demand papers of anyone that "looks illegal"...I mean c'mon, clearly they are just gonna pull over Mexicans. Though I don't know if Obama should have sued the state...but meh I'd have more to say on it I'm sure if I lived in Arizona or Obama actually had an alternative immigration policy but none of these things are true.

Like most things I think its complete bull. Copyright infringement is something the government cannot stop without literally taking over the internet (then it wouldn't completely stop it but it would seriously hurt it). And they will never pull that off. I hate how they try to make examples of certain people or sites when it comes to this stuff. I get where they're are coming from but going after NON-PROFIT sites seems to be a waste of time to me.

Well ... the whole thing is ... counterfeit it is still a major player in many markets around the world, just look at the third world countries... counterfeit is common, and the population don't even feel bad about it ^^... * I SURELY DON'T * ... like Audio CD's today in Brazil can't barely get 100.000 copies sold, because good part of the buyers buy the CD's on the street or fairs, and how books will follow the same path.

All the companies that produce this kind of material, keep constantly trying produce the idea that piracy will destroy everything * well song shere in Brazil suck IMO ... just a hand full of them are worthy ... but that is me *

Strikers In Bolivia

Well Bolivia is a country in South America (just so you guys can see in your heads on the map), lately there has been happening some strikes in Bolivia, Evo Morales is a relatively different from other presidents and due to the fact that the country faces some problems, some Regions in Bolivia are on, let's say a strike against the government

I do know this is no big deal for many of us, but it is always nice to get a bit of a view from countries that have different challenges to face

Well reading in other place, apparently the whole problem is because Evo, being the President of the Amerindians in the Region, wants to replace some National symbols for symbols that the Indian population can relate to.

The region of Potosi wants a certain region for themselves, a region that is rich in resources

The Traders of the Capital, decided to change there way to protest after 2 days of action. They are against Smugglers getting worst punishments from the law.

Well, particularly, I feel that this problem is a touchy one. Bolivia is a country that is really stuck in time somewhere in 19th Century. Smuggling illegal stuff to nearby countries is still a big deal around the country. My personal take would be to over technology and jobs for the locals... shame I can't do that ... just yet ^^

Bolivian Army trains Militias

Bolivia is an Impoverished nation that has a lots of natural resources.
With that in mind Evo Morales is ordering the Bolivian army to train civilians to defend the country against possible invasions form the US to steal natural resources.

Bolivia and Chile discuss about Exit to the sea

Now, maybe you like me was unaware of this, but Bolivia lost it's exit to the sea after a war with Chile while supporting Peru. Now Bolivia maybe one the poorest countries in South America has no way to send their products towards the sea.

the real catch here, is that Chile, might be most likely inclined NOT to give any of its land for a BUNCH of reasons.

Particularly I am a man who believes people in South America should look at each other as brothers, but that is only true in Brazil's constitution

So what is your take on this whole Exit to the Sea problem ???

Personally, I think its a barely thing for the most part. If people really like music, most will still go out and buy the cd, I know I do. And plus, most of the musicians that complain about illegal downloads are already rich from their music. But I don't make my living from music so it may be different form their point of view, but many smaller artists I listen to are just happy people are listening to them and just encourage their fans to come to their live shows.

While I honestly don't have much to say about the problems facing Bolivia (only because I live far away and can't relate as easily since this is my first time hearing about this) but I can say I really don't think a hunger strike will work. Form what I've seen they rarely do

As for the rest of the articles regarding South American countries, I'll have to get back to you on them as I'm not familiar with them off the top of my head and am running low on time at the moment

* Well about the music business, things are just the same way here in Brazil, however the main complainers are the recorders, they REALLY do hate piracy because they lose a lot of money. Well CD's here are, more expensive and most contracts are 80%/20% being 20% for the singer, so guess who gets more mad about it all

* Well There was a priest that made a hunger strike and actually convinced he government to stop a operation in one of our rivers, but in the end money won it all , and the already rich people got the water from the river to irrigate their crops while poor people just ... well I dunno ...
