(Possible Spoilers) Two Theories About The Manga...

Hey Guys, This is my first post, but I’m a long time reader. I decided to join the ranks and start posting on the site since I always read the forums at work. I want to apologize for the wall-o-text now. Lol

I had some theories that I haven’t really seen anyone post on the website. I know people have posted several topics on this website about the possible identity of Tobi aka “Madara”.

But I have noticed something that no one has really noticed or at least posted about it. I did search the posts before posting this theory.

I recently reread the whole Naruto Manga since work has been slow recently. I noticed during the Kage summit meeting that the guy with the single Bakugan (can’t remember his name), noticed Danzo with the Sharigan. He also noticed that the sharingan also had a distinct color.

That made me think that maybe every sharigan has a distinct color and/ or maybe power (jutsu) assigned to it. Since Shisui (the eye Danzo had) had the ability to control people. And Itachi gave Sasuke his eye powers when they fought. Sasuke never really established his own style eye jutsu's besides the ones Itachi gave him. And with Sasuke getting Itchaci's eyes now, maybe he might not establish his own eye powers. Unless there is a hidden rule or story that we do not know about since Sasuke now will obtain his EMS from obtaining Itachi's eyes.

I started to think about Tobi. Tobi has a special time space jutsu that spirals when he uses it. That made me think that the only other person I've noticed who has a spiral time space jutsu that has a sharingan is Kakashi. Kaskashi showed this jutsu three times, twice when he got MS and used it on Deidara right arm and another when he used it to blow away an attack.

If you watch the episode the jutsu he uses is a time space jutsu that spirals. Kakashi got his eye from Obito in Kakashi Gaiden Arch. Kakashi I believe is still trying to learn how to control this jutsu and maybe if he master the technique might be able to teleport like Tobi.

The Kakashi Gaiden arch was when Obito obtained his new found sharingan and got himself stuck underneath a rock from the huge fight. Obito never really had time to develop his eye or learn any strong genjutsu’s after obtaining his sharigan. Obito got his right eye taken out and placed into Kakashi as a gift. And the story never really went any further what happened to Obito, or if the leaf village returned and gathered his dead body. Obito would be around Kakashi’s age also in the new arch were the 9 tails attacks the leaf village. Madara looks young at that time and also has the same style haircut as him as well.

I think Obito was familiar with Madara’s past and basically took over his persona and made people think he was Madara. Madara has never really called himself Madara, but instead he only answers to the name. Obito could have just figured out how to fully use his single sharigan during the incident with the Kyubi 16 years ago. That would make sense why Madara would help Itachi later destroy the remaining Uchiha clan. Obito was power hungry since Minato sealed his right eye, so he is unable to control the kyubi. Obito wanted the Uchiha clan’s member’s eyes for himself and try to unlock their own significant powers and the ability to control the Kyubi. I can’t find the page were Tobi is in his Uchiha room looking at all the Uchiha eyes that he collected.

I also had another theory. I noticed in a post before that people were mentioning maybe giving Naruto another elemental chakra affinity. I personally believe he has one right now. The nature chakra could be affinity in itself. I know pa frog was trying to show him how to control the nature chakra or Naruto would turn into a stone frog. Nature energy flows through the whole world and helps the person heal faster, extra strength/ stamina… etc…

But one thing Naruto showed was in his fight with Pain. When Naruto was fighting the last two Pains, one of the Pains grabs Naruto from behind in a full nelson while he is in sage mode. Naruto then starts to meditate and absorb nature chakra. In turn pain is absorbing that chakra and was turned into a stone frog himself. What if Naruto learns how to concentrate that chakra like he does for the Wind Shuriken Rasengan. He would have a new form of his rasengan. A nature type rasengan that is basically pure nature chakra. I could see this being a powerful S style jutsu. If this jutsu hits you, you would basically be instantly turned into a stone frog. That would be awesome to use against Kabuto and his army of the Dead. He would have an army of dead stone frogs. That would suffice to stop Kabuto in his tracks….

I’m sorry for the wall o text but I just had some thoughts about the manga and wanted see what people thought. If you flame me then so be it. I want to apologize for the grammar or spelling.

see this has been said before but its is highly unlikely because according to the manga obito's whole left side was crushed and then the cave, caved in. But in the narutoverse anything is possiable lol. Plus zetsu is from the village where obito was killed so he could've done something to his body and brought him back. But personally i believe it is yagami uchiha behind the mask because he is an older wise uchiha who couldve been tought by Mardara himself (because of the first and second hokages tought sarutobi madara could have tought him) which explains why he has so much knowledge of the uchiha. it also explaisn why he has a a realtionship with danzou. Also why we havent seen madara infamous EMS.

P.S tobi uses his space time jutsu with justa regular 3 tomoe sahrigan no ms lol

Tobi's identity has been talked about for.....well since the day he announced he was Madara.
It's all over this forum, as well as the Tobi = Obito theory.
It's on almost every single thread dedicated to Madara.

No, it don't. Some fans guessed that since Zetsu looks like a plant, them he should have come from Iwagakura (Land of Earth).

However there is no evidence of such in the manga. During the Kage meeting, while Tsuchikage bodyguards knew Deidara, nor they nor no one had any idea of who or what Zetsu is.

I am a believer in the Tobi = Obito theory, and always have been, so the fact that they are both space-time jutsus just adds a little to the theory.
But a fact I just remembered, is that Itachi's left eye controlled Tsukuyomi, his right eye Amaterasu, and using both eyes he got Susanoo, which might be the case for all other sharingans. Meaning that Kakashi can't learn any new eye-moves, and neither can Tobi.

Tobi/Madara has also only showed being capable of using 1 eye technique.
if however the Obito=Tobi theory is right, and Tobi takes Kakashi's sharingan in a future battle, he would become extremely more powerful.
Could also be that Tobi is looking for a matching eye to his own, which explains his room of eyes.

Obito can not possibly be Madara due to the attack of the ninetails, Obito's body would not have aged that fast, he would have been gai and kakashi's height. Im pretty sure since the fourth faced off against him he would have noticed something, since obito was his former student

Naruto2011: I believe the general assumption is that Madara is able to "swap bodies", perhaps by using some sort of space-time ninjutsu or a doujutsu that's unique to his sharingan.

Nearly everyone believes that "Tobi" isn't his original body, especially since Kabuto summoned another body which freaked Tobi out, many people think that was Madara's original body.

Which would mean that the current Tobi is a diferent body from the one during the Kyuubi's attack, which would also be a different body from Madara's original. Madara wore a hood during that whole thing, and we never got a view of his face, so we have no idea what his hair or face looked like (unless I'm forgetting something).


Also, note that Madara never shows his left eye. It's always covered by a mask. Remember how the Mizukage that was being controlled by Akatsuki also had a scar on his left eye? Kisame called Madara "Mizukage", too. My personal theory is that Madara is somehow able to stay alive by transplanting his eye from one body to another.

I used to think MS were unique but given the recent developments I doubt it. All MS have the standard amaterasu, susanoo and tsukioyomi IMO. Kakashi would be an exception probably because he is using a sharingan which belonged to someone else. I'd think sasuke would have used MS techniques different from what itachi used had he had any at all. He would have probably used them before getting EMS had he had any.

I wanted to clarify something in that Shisui's ability was nothing that special. Its already been established that the Sharingan has several well known abilities. Keep in mind that the Sharingan is just a tool as Zetsu explained but its the skill of the user that determines how it is used.


Examine it carefully and you see each user tends to focus on a certain aspect of the Sharingan that they are best at.

- Itachi focuses heavily on the Illusionary powers of the Sharingan because he is a main Genjutsu type.

- Sasuke & Kakashi focus heavily on the motion tracking ability of the Sharingan in order to copy jutsu and engage in close quarters combat because they are more main Ninjutsu types.

- Shisui focused on the Hypnotic suggestive ability of the Sharingan allowing him to influence opponents without them even knowing. Which is a type of subtle Genjutsu ability.


Of course any user of the Sharingan can use any of these abilities but its the skill of the user that determines how well they pull it off and to what degree. As we have seen Kakashi use the suggestive ability against Zabuza when he made him use seals then copied them. Zabuza thought Kakashi could see the future but he was really using a form a hypnotism to influence his actions.

I started to think about Tobi. Tobi has a special time space jutsu that spirals when he uses it. My theory on why Kakashi and Tobi are the only 2 who can use time space ninjutsu is because of the one thing they both have in common. They both took someone elses Sharingan eyes. Itachi explained that the exchange of eyes gave Madara a new power the final secret of the MS.

My theory is that the exchanging eyes gives you a time space ninjutsu ability.

Well the Obito is Tobi theory have been established since very long, this is just another version of it. However we can't still dismiss the tobi is Obito theory due the fact that Madara has been reconstructing this body from long and about Obito becoming evil, there could be a lot of reasons.

Still, the problem here is that this Tobi (Madara), have been given many characteristics of other characters, like Danzou, Obito, etc.., we just got to know a bit more about him, something might link him even more to be Uchiha Madara for real and not just his thoughts or way of thinking, is the fact that Madara used chains in his fight against the First Hokage and Tobi used chains in his fight against Yondaime.

i agree with POW,that tobi/madara is using someone else's eyes.i still believe it's his brother izuna,he was left without his original eyes.we also know that he was strong enough to challenge minato,maybe not to defeat him.but to get the result that he did,minato's sacrifice.i'm sure he planned that kushina would die,so not being strong enough to flat out take minato he set the kyubi loose.izuna would make sense if he and madara both hated the senju,why else would he give his eyes up?if he was the second strongest uchiha just become the leader.maybe after his brother got whooped by hashirama he took it upon himself to carry on madara's dream/wish.

also,tsunade will be killed by sasuke maybe trying to protect the elders.this will drive sakura to revenge,maybe at the end naruto saves sasuke from the"dark side"but loses sakura.she may even be the cause of naruto and sasuke's fight,imagine naruto returning to the village.sasuke has slaughtered tsunade and the elders and is about to kill sakura,i think that would set him off.


we seen in the last chapters that madara/tobi isn't that powerful,i think kakashi takes him out.this will happen maybe,during the invasion of konoha and naruto will be busy fighting kabuto.

also during the invasion we may get to see shikamaru and company take on kabuto's akatsuki zombies.while naruto fights kabuto himself and maybe the real madara.

Madara has regenerated his body parts more than once, with at least a significant case where he lost an arm to Sasuke's MS, and then reappeared with his arm looking brand new.

I think he is a Frankenstein of sorts, where he takes the body parts from other sharingan users (because their body's chakra is more attuned to using the sharingan) and implants it to his own body. He may very well be Obito, but Obito managed to escape the boulder rubble (we were never shown his body, nor kakashi burying him), and he somehow found a way to use the body parts of other people to replace his own.

The original Obito may have very well found the real Madara, and used his body instead, by transplanting his eye.
