Yeah I thought of that before too, Destiny, but I guess it's inevitable (?) since they are both designed by CLAMP
What about Sayoran from Tsubasa and Sayoran from Cardcaptor Sakura?
Aren't they essentially the same character? I guess it falls into "identical" characters then (according to thread title). He's a crossover, no? CLAMP has so many crossovers especially in Tsubasa... Likewise the cast from Tokyo Babylon also appear in X/1999, and most of them also appear in Tsubasa as well.
It was also nice that while Arashi and Sorata are love interests in X/1999, they end up a married couple in Tsubasa (kind of a closure to the relationship since X/1999 was never completed)
Well the thread originally was about different characters sharing one design. But Clamp uses the exact same characters, as their story share a united universe. It's basically like saying "Kakashi in Naruto and Kakashi in Naruto: Shippuuden are the same"
One of the most used character desings is... Azusa from K-on.
Take Wendy from FT, Azusa Fujisaki from beelzebub and a he** knows how many more.

Two characters that have a certain similarity:
Asuma Sarutobi of Naruto and Oonishi-Sensei of Kokou no Hito.
Both adult, but still kinda young and easy people, who have a strong sense of responsibility and nice character. Both good teachers I think. Also looking pretty equal!
Another picture of Oonishi: http://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/ch...s/8/100175.jpg
Julia from Blood+ and Cher from Wolf's Rain, there's a 3rd one too I think, but my memory is failing me at the moment.
Both are practically identical to each other in everything (even plot-wise), and not just their appearance: blonde serious-workaholic scientists, though they both also do have someone they love beyond their work.
Heero Yuy from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Sosouke from Full Metal Panic, Kiba from Wolf's Rain, and etc... a very popular male protagonist character design.
<.Haruka.> already made the comparison between Heero and Sosouke.
Saya+Diva in Blood+, Alicia+Beth in Claymore, whatever their names are ("the twins") in Blood C, and etc...

Suiten (Beelzebub) reminded me of Nico Robin (ONE PIECE) when I first saw her, but now they don't look much alike anymore.
I've always wondered if Hoshino Katsura was a fan of Hellsing.
Jasdero and Devit are twin brothers who serve as antagonists in D.Gray-man. One of them has long blond hair, the other has multiple facial piercings and has short, black hair. They are also quite young. Their main opponent is Krory, who is a peudo vampire. In the fight that ensues between the three of them, Krory strengthens himself by having his blood move independently from his body.
In Hellsing, one of the earlier antagonists are the Valentine Brothers, who are newly transformed vampires. One has long blond hair, the other has facial piercings and short, black hair. Though they attack separately, their main opponent is Alucard who also wins the battle by making his blood transform and move independently from his body. The differences are quite obvious, but the fact that both brothers have a face-off with a protagonist vampire made it all the more unusual.
Another Hellsing-D.Gray-man comparison I would make is between Cross and Alucard's weapon of choice - a beautiful large gun with writing on it, that uses customized bullets specifically created for monster hunting. Cross's bullets are made for akuma, Alucard's bullets are made for vampires.
Most recently, there has been comparisons made between Apocryptos and Reverend Anderson. Both are priests who wear glasses and have a rather omnious presence despite being on the "good side".
Here's the list of identical characters (this is my personal opinion):
Riko Mine (Aria the Scarlet Ammo)/Miu Takanashi (Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai!)
Kyoko Sakura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)/Ayase Shinomiya (Guilty Crown)
Near(Death Note)/Alexander "Sasha" Nikolaevitch Hel (Qwaser of Stigmata)
Nagi Springfield (Negima)/Yumeji Fujiwara (Yumekui Merry)
Seraphim (Is This a Zombie ?)/Futayo Honda (Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere)/Akeno Himejima (Highschool DxD)
