IMO, Final Getsuga Tenshō will look a lot more powerful.
Highly concentrated reiatsu and compressed from what i think.

Now that we know what the Final Getsuga Tenshou looks like, we no longer have the need to guess what its appearance will be. Therefore instead of removing this thread for being out of date, the topic is being expanded to cover all aspects of the FGT discussion. The most obvious thing would be for it to be an energy blast but that is much more massive than the regular GT but that just seems a bit too easy for Kubo. It would be cool if it somehow incorporates the longer chain wrapping around Ichigo's arm some how. In the end I'm still expecting it to be energy related but I'm hoping its much more than just a larger version of the regular GT. If we don't see it in the upcoming chapters right away then I'm hoping some insight into Ichigo's new combat style will help us to think of new ideas to hone in on what the FGT could really be like.

I get the feeling that Ichigo merged with his zanpaktou. That chain was at the end of Tenza Zangetsu and now its long enough to the point where it could be wrapped around his arm. Maybe the 'Final' means Ichigo was finally granted with all of his power without having to tap into it which makes it even harder to comprehend his reiatsu. Or I could just be rambling

I think FGT will look like a regular one except that it will have that "bankai" feeling to it. It'd be like when we see other captains trash stuff with their own bankai, not like until now that ichigo's bankai has a feeling of being nothing but a glorified shikai.

I know this won't happen but I was thinking along the lines a new bankai ability which creates a field of super concentrated reiatsu that protects Ichigo while harming anything it touches. I figured if he can wrap it around his sword then what about the his entire body be covered in it.

^ I highly doubt it. The GT Isshin used is comparable to ones that Ichigo has fired off in the past. In fact, I think we've seen more destructive GTs from Ichigo so its safe to say that we have not seen the FGT just yet.

There is no way we have seen more destructive GT than the one ishin used lol. The idea is laughable. Ichigo with a bankai GT was not able to outright kill byakuya and his shikai GT didn't even scratch dodorni.

When I think of Ichigo's best GTs, I think of that WAVE. You know, the masked one he used on Ulquiorra when they first fought. I think of the ones Ichigo used against Grimmjow in Hueco Mundo.

I think of the one he used against Ulquiorra's original release. And finally, I think of the ones Ichigo used on Aizen, especially the one that connected after Yamamoto's opening. Sure the Aizen that Ichigo fought was outshined by the one that Isshin and the others were fighting but Ichigo's attacks have been pretty destructive.

Then again, we're talking about a Bankai Ichigo that's usually using his hollow mask compared to Isshin who used his shikai once and who brought up FGT in the first place..I think Papa Kurosaki takes the cake

I dislike the FGT. He waist all his power for nothing.

It is the ultimate move. No one has shown anything like it before. Even byakuya's "final form" or what ever it was, was just a regular bankai technique. Ichigo merged with his zanpakto creating the perfect shinigami. Aizen dreamed of attaining the merger, but has a final kick up the butt, he got sealed just as he realised the hogyoku would not let him merge with his sword.

On top of that, Ichigo merged with his hollow side too. That mask over his face was like a hollow mask. It cracked in the same way a hollow mask does, and completely different to the way his shinigami side left him:

imo the reason Ichigo lost his power was the same reason Ishida did.

Ishida entered a realm of power that a human can not handle. He had complete spiriton domination and his body just failed. Ichigo is the same. He entered another dimension and merged with both his hollow and zanpakto, but his body just failed trying to handle it all.

I reckon that if Ichigo had Aizen's body... i.e. the long haired ascended body that he had underneath the Ichigonator mask, he would be able to handle the power of the final form.

And when he looses it, it goes short again. imo that is the last piece of Ichigo's power conundrum. The ascended form, which he skipped to get his final form. The hair says it all!

I think that was the point of the FGT, Ichigo attained so much strenght on his own but still could not beat aizen. Aizen was to strong to be beaten atm, this way kubo can continue with bleach without having to pull some trick.
