Dead or not? [Warning: Contains Spoilers From Chapter 107+]

The question is concerns the status of Miria. I understand that 90% is dead ..... but I wanted to ask:

If that cut arm in the last scenes is not of Miria? And if in the next chapter Yagi gives us a plot twist?

I voted yes. As it stands, from what we see from chapter 107, it seems Miria is dead, hacked into pieces.

But, as Mei said, maybe it isn't Miria.. or there's still the possibility of Yagi saving Miria in whatever fashion next chapter (Miria could Awaken for example, out of many examples/speculations/options/possibliities).

My vote went to 50-50. Because this is the phantom we are talking about. So im hoping thats its just a technique that leaves a longer lasting after image. But it could just be her real body. I really dont know

I think her death (if its real) was to sudden. For a tactician, to let herself be caught in this way...strange. I say either she's alive (making the Org look like idiots) or the Org will do something interesting with the pieces, so that we will have Miria back in another form.

Too many things are building up to this particular spot and time in the story for me to accept Miria's death as it is.

- Having Raki infected and transported to the Org's HQ by special means that indicate it will be very fast, is kinda saying to me that he will be there at about the same time as this scene with Miria.

- Spending 2 chapters.. 2 months... on Miria going to the Org's HQ only to be cut down without accomplishing much of anything to the main story arc aside being slaughtered seems odd... to say the least.

- Having ample opportunity to kill off other ghosts, and yet not going through with it.. even though not having them die seems more unbelievable then having Miria actually die, makes me want to believe that the ghosts will survive.

- Artist error or not.. not seeing the twin in the final slaughter scene is questionable for me. Also, the apparent struggle of the #10 shows me that she was using quite a bit of power to maintain the mind fracking..

All in all, instead of a hand it should have been Miria's head if I were to accept this as the end.

some people have suggested that maybe Miria has developed a "clone phantom" secretly and the "killed Miria" is just this "clone phantom" of Miria's.

kinda like a shadow clone from Naruto manga/anime.

but, how many of you think that this could be a possibility that Yagi might do, to "save" Miria from her seeming death in ch 107?

or, some people have also suggested that maybe it wasn't Miria whom was hacked to pieces... as we never really see whom the Claymores were hacking to pieces... maybe it's Raftela whom is being hacked to pieces... for example... So, how many of you think this is a possibility?

It certainly doesn't seem planned, I aggree completely.. that is it doesn't seem planned for Miria, but it does seem planned for Yagi of all the trump cards.. one that brings Hilda back into the picture.

The organization is going to see what Rubel has been trying to hide from them.. he will be forced to act.

.. of course I am a student of Kubo style trolls, but heres hoping for an epic Dragon vs 90% awakened Miria bloodbath!

I think that Miria is dead,but i`m not sure.She died too early and she is one of the main characters.I hope that she will be back to live soon.
Though now in claymore many characters were almost dead and we still don`t know who is alive and who`s not...hope that after this arc we will get everything explained.

I voted Yes, I Think so since her mental state was so distorted during that time. I just don't see her waking up last minute to launch some kind of counter attack. Galatea also implied that Miria is probably dead which also leads me to believe this is the case.

Agree-ing with most of the responses here, Let's draw the "supposedly" arm of Miria's to the "Upper body of Riful " . Those were intentionally* left behind by their "loved" ones. So.. if Miria's alive , then Riful might have a chance too.. (just saying ..xD)

Even if that's the phantom clone , that took most of the killing blow. Miria would be left 1-handed. As the Mangaka did draw that arm.

There's still quite a few ways that Miria could be kept alive, so it's not a definate sure thing that she's dead, however, considering Rubel's and now Galatea's ominous speech of Miria's death, I'd have to side with that she's dead, until the next chapter comes out and has her surviving/alive however Yagi would decide to have it happen... if he does... or he has Miria truly being indeed dead...

That would be really surprising, but I doubt that they would make such a hype about "coming back with Miria" if she was really dead.

Maybe they kept her alive to make her talk or something...
