Nice to see that Alma didn't die yet. But i was expecting to see Alma telling Kanda what he discovered since he heard and saw things before killing everyone. Maybe he knows what is the name of the exorcist that "originated" Kanda.

It seems Allen won't make his move in this chapter. Creating an unofficial branch of exoscists seems possible as some fellows said. Komui and others are certainly pissed at the order for all the interferance from the new guys from Central. I agree that they will support Allen, if he leaves the Order.

And were we meant to hate Chaoiji this much, Hoshino? Just wondering. XD I don't necessarily HATE hate him, but I have very little fondness. Ever since he held a grudge against Allen for being concerned over Tykki, I've felt icky towards him.

I can't wait for some spoiler pictures though! I never really could quite grasp the spoiler text without something to accompany it. XP

Ah, the end of October. How I look forward to the end of every month and the beginning of the next purely for DGM.

Back to these new spoilers, I find it equally nice and frustrating to have this little period of 'breaktime' for the characters. We see just a bit of resolvement for some people *cough cough Kanda/Alma* and none for the others *cough cough EVERYONE ELSE* I am so happy to see Jasdero! I missed them. Or him. Or...whatever.

Of course, we all know that blind Levorrier is going to yell at Allen despite him saving his and the Order's butt from both Alma, Kanda, Akuma, the Earl and his minions, AND himself, but you know what? OF COURSE THAT DOESN'T COUNT. What are you talking about. *smirks*

I'm pretty darn sure that Link's movements are based on his fear that Allen's going to go beserk or something. As much as I'd love to see that, I don't think it's going to happen. And all the meanwhile, the Earl is standing lordly over the whole scene and nobody's really paying much attention to him. Huh. Well, I hope this gets resolved soon. As much as I want Allen 'joining' the Noahs to see a bit of development, IDK if it'll happen. We'll see.

Is it me or is the Black Order going to have to find new HQ AGAIN?! Wow, you have to imagine how long they had their first HQ for...*sigh*

Just wondering... But maybe Lavi and bookman disapeared becouse now we will have Lavi's arc. You know: now we have arc about Kanfa and all, and now Hosino-sama planing to uncovaer a bit more about or Bookman junior. Maybe old panda decided it's time for them to leave the order side becouse they are suposed to be neutral.

If I remember correctly the other exorcists were fighting Feedra which means to consume and provided Hoshino likes zombies and zombies are mindless bodies driven by the instinct to eat so I guess his Noah power turns people into zombies and that's what is happening with Chaoji.
By the way Madarao was fighting that Noah alone so there's no exorcist around to kill him and maybe he is alive but who'll save him?

well Madarou was fighting with Mercyma (mercy [or no mercy xD]) but if Tevak was able to restrain herself from beign absorbed by alma cells.. than Madarou could be the same (as he is tevak older brother after all)

it could be liie there are 5 3rd's... 2 (kiredori and sumo-guy) got absorbed by alma cells and ended up killed......so 2 (tevak and madarou) could restrain themselfs from goiung berserk.... and 1 (tokusa) is still fighting and is uknown to survive or to be killed

anyway I hope allen will tell something to leaveir... becouse he thinks he is innocent of doing all this...that he has nothing to do with it... and he is allowed to play with other peoples lifes.... if he wants to fight akuma and earl so much... why wont he fight with his own fists and power if he feels so mighty...

I would be glad if allen stabbed him with kandas sword... or at least his own like... if there is evil in leaviers heart it will kill him kinda like test...

anyway I wonder if there is a reaction in lenalee after hearing about allen and 14th awakening... and that they might have to kill allen just like what they did to the 3rd's

I think the entire idea about the cells changing might depend on how many akuma the 3rd absorbed. Meaning that if she hardly absorbed anything the strain would be less. (i could be wrong tho) but it might explain why shes able to hold on (barely).

nah I doubt about it but we will see ^^ I guess its more like psychological thing and the will of not giveing up....... just like allen doesnt gave in for the 14th memories... he doesnt care... he dennys it and fights it becouse its his body... heh we can remember 14th talking to earl... than allen gets pissed and headbutts earl xD.... for crow people I guess it could be pride... like in the spoiler tokusa slowly was getting his mind back when allen was yelling at him that he is a better soldier than hm... it was getting on his pride aspect..

chapter sounds good wonder what allen will do the hitler guy called him a traitor. i doubt he will be allowed back as an exorcist they will probably try to kill him. the bookman and lavi are missing i think they are in league with the 3rd side of the war and the 14th. maybe they will be the ones to help allen escape from the black order and noahs.

Okay, sanity check and devil's advocate time. (A) Allen's sword is made out of Innocence, the only thing it kills is the Dark Matter inside of an akuma or Noah. This is why Lavi (who was being controlled by his worst impulses) survived it and Allen (who was not even in Noah mode) was injured by it.

(B) The only thing Leverrier is guilty of is trying to defeat the Earl. Think about it - if only exorcists are capable of defeating Noah and akuma, many exorcists are going to die and they are a rarity. If the Order solely relied on exorcists, they would lose and the world would fall into ruin. This is the reality. The Thirds gave another option and, I would like to remind you that unlike the Seconds, went completely voluntarily. The Thirds fighting at the exorcist's sides increased their likelihood to defeat the Earl.

He did NOT anticipate the Earl having the ability to take control of Alma and screw with the Thirds. To be frank, I don't think he even imagined it could go that way since the Dark Matter was directly from Alma, and Alma was under control. But I do think he failed in not putting adequate precautions around Alma.

Also, it's understandable why he used Alma. Alma had pretty much been almost dead for the last 9 years, and could obviously not be completely destroyed. In fact, he was probably considered brain-dead given his lack of response. He was literally the waste of the Order. So Leverrier used him. Personally, I can understand that.

Leverrier is not playing with people's lives. He is trying to win a war that is inherently unwinnable. He isn't an exorcist, so he's doing it the only way he can - by trying to increase the force of the Order. Don't forget it was probably Renee who came up with the idea of Thirds in the first place. Leverrier probably just implemented it. And to be fair to Renee, she also probably desired a war that would end.

It's merely the cycle of desperation. The Order is desperate. So they'll do almost anything to destroy the Earl, and to be fair, they're actions thus far are very reasonable given the circumstance. They do have the right to use something they consider a corpse to increase their forces (who were, I reiterate, VOLUNTEERS).

It's easy to just stand on the sidelines and proclaim idealistic views of how the Order should run, but that ain't the way a war faction can work (if they did, they would be dead by now). Allen is special in that he can proclaim idealistic views and prove it, but remember he's got the power and determination (though goddammit Allen, stop being a frickin martyr!)

@earthforge: well sorry but leavier doesnt give a crap about exorcists... as he mentioned in past... they are nothing more than sacrafices of God... they forced Hevraska to try and do that cruel experiment of forcefully putting innocence in people (even if she did not want that...she was doing only orders)... and there small leavier called her murderer for killing her own kind even it was not her fault...

now Leavier saw that earl can screw up everything that is related to dark matter... alma...3rd's and turn them against them..... yet he doesnt feel guilty at all... this is the main problem... he even mentioned that he will continue this experiment even if he knows that its no use against earl...noah's... that is thinking of a madman....

exorcists are the ones that are on the battlefield in front lines becouse they had the fate of beign innocence hosts... not like they wished for that.... yet leavier doesnt use his brain... becouse pushing them into the danger wont bring victory but only loseing new hosts that are soo precious... if they have such limited resources he should care more about keeping them alive...

It would be more ok if Leavier would see bad stuff in what he did... yet he is not guilty that becouse of their experiments whole base went into s...t >_< with lots of people.... allen almost got turned into noah... and now he yells allen of traitors becouse he doesnt want to go and destroy alma (even trought alma is dieing anyway)

I guess now the order will split... those who will follow allen... and those who will follow central and leavier...

I agree with Zibi and earthforge on the subject:

1) Yes, the Order is fighting a desperate war, in which I honestly see no good ending for them. Let's remind that in the 157th Night Mari expressed his thought about the attack on HQ as a proof that the Earl and the Noahs could easily wipe them out if they wanted to. Why they didn't do it yet remains a secret for now.

2) No, I don't believe that Kanda and Alma did these things volunteerly. Think back of Mari too. He was about to die and Leverrier ordered him to be used as specimen for the experiment. Hadn't it been for Kanda then there would have been another 2nd Exorcist...probably...

3) Although earthforg has given good statements as to why Leverrier did and still does all these things it just isn't justifiable. He doesn't care about the Exorcists like Zibi said and would probably give his soul to devil himself in order to win this war. He is not a good person. If that has to do with his upbringing or something else...I don't know.

4) Yes, Allen has a bad martyr complex but that came because of his time on the streets and the following time spent with Mana. He wasn't helped when he was younger so he became bitter and seeing that people must have handled him like some kind of monster, we don't even have to talk about self-estime. Man was the first one to help him and showed him what kindness is.
Allen knows what it's like to cry out for help but not being answered. It's a really desperate and sad feeling and I'm sure he doesn't want anyone around him to suffer like he did.

About that whole Chaoji thing.... I must say that yes, I don't like him that much but I can also see that he isn't an entirely bad person. At the beginning he was nice to Allen too. He just started his personal vendetta against him when Allen tried to safe Tiky. At first I also just wanted to smack him in the face but after a while I calmed down again.

I mean- he saw how the people he considered family were turned to dust in front of his eyes. And he was searching for someone responsible and so why not take the ennemy.

But I agree: He is stupid to be mad at Allen for this long and not thinking about the fact that Allen knew the crew too even though he hadn't travelled on the ship with them. Chaoji is good hearted but very rash in his decisions and believes. I think that's the issue.
