    The anime was very good.
It's kinda weird to watch those things happening (they getting serialized and stuff), it seems like it all happened too long ago.
The last episode had a very nice clifhanger ^^
But still, when I think about the last episode I always remind of this scene:

    The Advent of Despair...
    Black Carnival

    Re: Bakuman Episode Discussion Thread

Interesting to read all the different views on the anime. It appears that most of us here enjoyed it, which is nice to know I wonder if the fact that (I think?) most of you read the manga first (or quickly caught up after watching 1 or 2 episodes), made you appreciate the anime more? I still can't get over the fact that gg was calling it "boringman". Even my brother just shoots back "boringman" and ignores me whenever I try to convince him to read Bakuman or even mention the series

Umm. Interesting picture, Tick And, am I just weird or does anyone else think that the art style is kinda weird? Like, the surroundings are nicely shaded and look quite realistic, but the characters look like they were pasted on and slightly out of place?

    Thanks. ^^

Yeah, seems like the backgrounds are made with photoshop.
The bookcase looks a little 3D (like The Sims)....

    Re: Bakuman Episode Discussion Thread

Next season I want them to start with a Crow OP. It's the only thing they can do if that want to top the entrance in episode 1. As long as the DVD/BR sells relatively well they could continue with story of the manga and not deviate. I will never forgive J.C. Staff if they make an original ending.

So, do we make a new topic for the new season or keep using this one?

I haven't watched the anime for Bakuman yet.
But after seeing how much popularity its been getting, I'll check it out.

I think we make a new topic and call it season 2.

Episode just finished airing, proceeding dump with screen caps.

Not the Crow opening I was hoping for, instead TRAP.

Bakuman's animation is really done well. They're currently on mashiro got sick arc, team fukuda will protest. (Season 2, Episode 7). Lots of Hiramaru funny scenes! XD

If you feel it's better that way, go ahead and make one and I'll rename this to Season One.

    Third Season of Bakuman Announced!
    http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=375055

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shizuka didn't appeared in the anime. He was introduced in chapter 71 but the current episode (s2 ep23) ends at chapter 86 and there's still no glimpse of him. I'm wondering if they will also remove Shiratori's and second Nananime's arc lol. If that happens, it will look like the manga have fillers instead of the anime.

Maybe Shiratori, because he was completely forgotten in the manga, as Shizuka.

But Nanamine will be in the anime for sure. He is the main antagonist of two arcs.

His return can be easily removed if they will not include his comeback speech. Even his first arc can be omitted too since Ashirogi didn't learn/gain anything on that arc. The only interesting part there was the Classroom of Truth.

Didn't the second Nanamine arc have that rather important flashback and explanation about Mashiro's uncle? The first Nanamine arc also has Nakai returning and becoming Hiramaru's assistant.

As such, those two things will ultimately force their hand to show both arcs.

    Re: Bakuman Episode Discussion Thread

From what I've read here, I surmise you all only watch the dubbed anime?? Is there another thread for the subbed version so I can talk about it without spoiling it for the dub watchers? Well... then again, it would be pointless if no one else watches sub...

---------- Post added at 09:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:06 PM ----------

You know how we were discussing whether it was likely, or even plausible, for Otaku's to rage because
    Spoiler show
... but I find it rather humorous how many Americans rage because subs don't come out on time. Granted, I'm disappointed myself that the latest episode has been out for a week, and still has yet to be subbed; yet I'm not so closed minded as to not understand why, nor as hypocritical as to bash the people who take the time out of their day to sub, when I'm getting it for free. Still... I want to watch it in English lol, guess I got to learn Japanese!

---------- Post added at 09:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:38 PM ----------

At any rate, I brought this up because I noticed that on a One Piece thread there was some guy who freelance subbed the latest One Piece episode a few hours before it came out at its normal 9 o'clock slot; which is rather amazing considering that One Piece subs are released so rapidly. I guess its similar to how Knifeshade freelanced the Bakuman manga because it was taking forever to be released, except in this case the freelancer subbed it even before the normal time range. Does anyone know how to sub, is it hard to do, and is there a freelancer that does this for Bakuman? Well, its not like I'm asking one of you to do it -given the unlikely chance that any of you would possess the ability to do it in the first place-, as I know no one has the time of day; I was just curious as to the logistics of the process.
