Claymore Chapter 108- Review
Hello everyone. After taking A month long break I'm back. I apologize for not covering the last chapter, but something really depressing happened to me, and I just did not feel like writing THAT up. You know what I mean. Well if we were hoping for a miracle, or even direct confirmation, we didn't get it this chapter. However that doesn't mean this was a bad chapter at all. What we do get is the beginning of the fallout from last chapter.
Rumble in Rabona-
We open with Deneve, Dietrich and Helen going somewhere. The three senses something that distresses her. That would be the army of Yoma and AB's rampaging through Rabona. However it turns out Yoma aren't so bad when they aren't acting covertly, as the Knights are able to kill some of them. The big guns, namely Galatea, and Tabitha, will tackle the AB's, although Galatea has to remind Tabitha to keep her mind on the situation at hand.
It seems Miria's assault his having some serious fallout. The Org either knows or deduced that Rabona had sheltered rouge Claymores. And their response is to try and wipe it off the face of the earth. Seems that not only can the Org send Yoma where they want, but also some AB's. While we've know for a while that the Org can control Yoma, the AB's are a bit of a surprise. I would assume that is isn't real control, but more of a getting them to attack what the Org want's. After all if the Org could create controllable AB's they wouldn't even need to be on the island doing their experiments. However the Org has made a bit of a mistake. They don't know that Rabona's guardsmen are getting much better at anti Yoma tactics, and they don't realize just how many powerful Claymore's are in the city. Galatea, Maita, and Tabitha are all single digit level Claymores. What's more all four Claymores have a great deal of experience fighting AB's. So just sending in normal AB's doesn't guarantee and easy win for the Org.

Big Damn Heroes-
However trying to keep the people of Rabona alive during the fight is kinda a handicap too. Tabitha winds up knocked into a building, and trying to hold off a AB and defend a woman and her small child. Meanwhile Galatea ends up between two AB and in a position where she can only deal with one. Then Yuma's sword takes out the flying AB. Yes Yuma now has a canon special skill, throwing her sword! Too bad Cynthia has to rain on her parade by pointing out all the problems with it. As for Tabitha, Helen saves the woman and kid, while Deneve single handly stops the AB. I mean that literately. As for Dietrich, she's very upset by what she sees, and ends up saving a girl from a Yoma.
Okay, so Yuma's got some weaknesses with throwing her sword, but hey, maybe she can borrow some spears or something from the Rabona guards? It seems Dietrich is reminded of something by Rabona's destruction. I don't know if this is meant to be anything too mysterious though. It may just have reminded her how the towns in the south were wiped out by Isley and the Abyssal Eaters fights. Actually it seems like most of the island is in tatters now. The North is uninhabited because of Isley's army, half the south is ruined, and the west has probably been wiped clean by the Destroyer. Now the Org has tried to wipe out Rabona, the center. If this keeps up, they won't have any materials for their research. Perhaps this will be the final straw for Dietrich that makes her desert the Org?

Won, and Lost-
After beating all the Yoma and AB it's time to take stock. Amazingly thanks to the efforts of the ghosts and their allies, no one was killed. But Deneve and Helen notice Miria is missing, and just asking Tabitha what happened is almost enough to bring her to tears. So it falls to Galatea to explain what happened... and notice Claire is missing. This is all too much for Tabitha, and she breaks down crying. But someone (not sure who, anyone know?) states that Claire is not dead yet...
Yeah, Gala tea's comment about how hoping Miria would survive is naive probably wasn't just aimed at the Ghosts. I hate to say it, but unless she outright appears, I will believe Miria is dead. I found Tabitha's reaction to believing Claire had died to be interesting. She was able to keep from breaking down about Miria, but when the possibility that Claire had died as well, then she broke down. We tend to just focus on her being Miria's fan, but the truth is she does care greatly about all the other ghosts. We also see the lengths she'll go to in order to protect civilians. Wonder if that had anything to do with why she got sent to the north? I expect that next chapter will see followup on Claire, Priss and the Destroyer. Now I also wonder what Rabona will do in order to get back at the Org for attacking them? If they send in some of their troops to kill the MIB, then the Org's Claymores won't be able to stop them. And if the Org uses Yoma or AB in front of their Claymore's then the Jig is going to be up. Then again they may simply decide it's too dangerous to risk people like that and just leave it to the ghosts. One more thing I noticed. The art for this chapter was a bit sub par. Some of the proportions were very off, and their were mistakes like Galatea missing her scar. Hopefully the art will be back up to standard next month. Oh well I should talk, I made a ton of spelling errors writing this review up.
Winner or the Month-
Deneve. For stopping an AB with one hand and making it look easy. Damn she's gotten strong, and is clearly the Brute Strength member of the ghosts.
