Just as swords are for cutting food only. :P Also a laser shooting cyborg, canonball shooting ship, neck twisting archeologist, everyone in the crew can be lethal is serious, the same can be said about guns and their usage, e.g. blund weapon, differen ammunition, etc. Argument negated.

edit: need to F5 some more... I don't see the need of a gunslinger, but everything is possible if he/she/it complements the crew.

Well, ussop is the sniper which is about the same as a gunslinger. Ussop has handled the cannons in the ship a few times by now too.

Sniper is a person who is able to deliver precision blow from great distances which is nothing like gunslinger. Ussop uses slingshot while gunslinger is someone who is dangerous with a GUN. It would be coolest thing ever to have some one who could spin guns like Sledge Hammer and kick ass like that guy from Jhon Woo`s The Killer

I would still argue ussop has that area covered. What would a someone using a proper gun even add? He'd be exactly like that guy in BB's crew for the most part(who already seems like he is going to be ussop's enemy at some point soon). Gun's aren't even that cool in this manga as not surprisingly they are limited to, well, shotting (which is in itself far less interesting than what ussop already does). Its not like when ussop fights he solely does it miles apart from his enemy, take a look at his fight with perona or the shark guy. As far as we have seen at least, there is nothing a gunslinger can do that isn't already covered in some form by ussop.

Guns arent cool in OP world bcz they arent explored enough imo but oda can make them cool if he wants to. imagine if Ussops slingshot fires only normal ammo than it would also be limited to shooting. Same thing can be applied to Zoro, take away his two swords and he is boring old swordsman... Just add some diversity like piercing ammo or give character four hands and four guns... mybe give him pet of some sort or gatling pistols its easy...

As far as we have seen at least, there is nothing a gunslinger can do that isn't already covered in some form by ussop.

Then there is no need for new nakama as any role is covered in some form by someone on the ship

i dont know why people keep overlooking the obvious......kinemon is the next strawhat. Oda intended for 3 swordsman to be in the crew from the beginning. he has spent a lot of time with the strawhats and it seems like this arc will spill over into Wano. everyone keeps saying he cant join because of his son, but i think there is something fishy about his son. i think we will find out his son died sometime ago and he cant deal with the pain so he suprressed it.

kinemon has all the characteristics of a strawhat. he has a silly quirk(his farting just like usopp's diseases, nami's love of money, zoro getting lost, frankie's crying, sanji's going crazy over women, etc)

i think he is super strong nd for CC to know who he is, he has to have a bounty. Kinemon of the Foxfire and he has a great name. He also looks imposing, he is at least 10 feet tall.

he will join, then jinbe will join sometime around the bigmom arc, and that will complete the group

As he said intended, not said and it's because of his early draft for the crew, which can be found in One Piece Green.

But that's not a good reasoning for me, as much has changed from that point on to today, including own crew members, Shichibukai and plot elements overall. I see no female like Robin there, should she be taken out some time in the future? No.

Where do you see three swordsmen ? I see future-chopper & future-zoro with swords but that's all.

Between Sanji and "Chopper" there is a sword floating around, but excluding that one: "Chopper", "Franky"[on the left with the bandana and cyber-eye] and Zorro. Take more than a short glance next time please.

the only thing im waiting for kinemon to be a sureshot nakama is his dream and tragic past. because his power and personality is a strawhat giveaway.

though there are three swordsmen (if kinemon joins) brook would still be ice/ghost/music based.....and zoro will be the one who is classified as a real swordsman...kinemon i think would concentrate on being like bon clay and be a scout/spy/magician or something.

plus brook is a fencer and zoro uses iai techniques....different kinds of swordsmanships.

oda loves samurais and vikings (thats why im thinking he there would be a viking nakama)

zoro represents the (new) japan....maybe kinemon is for the (old) japan

there is no fishman there, but remember that this came out some time ago. Oda couldnt draw the complete crew then he would give away the surprise. Kinemon seems strong enough but not to strong were he would interupt the balnace of the crew

jinbe is definitely joining.....he has pretty much agreed to it........he couldnt join now because it would throw off the the dynamic of the crew. his bounty is higher than luffys. the strawhats will get another huge bounty increase before he joins. jinbe will be the last to join
