Damn, 2500 post in one treaf for one game ^^
Have we gotten any info on how to unlock all the characters? other than just playing trough story mode.
I'm getting Storm 2 regardless but I wanted to know if it was competitive like the GNT series. Are the wakeups in this and are you able to disrupt your opponents combos?
I never understood the hate for the GNT series.

you can disrupt a combo but not like in the GNT series, in the GNT series you had 4 mini bars of chakra(i'm reffering to GNT4's chakra gauge here, i'm not sure if it's still the same) and it cost 3 mini bars to use a substitution jutsu that attacked the opponent mid-combo, in storm 2 the substitution jutsu takes hardly any chakra to pull off, you wont automatically attack the opponent though from it, instead you'll appear behind them, where you can do whatever you like then.
as far as competitiveness goes, this will likely be very competitive as it is online i loved the GNT series, but it got quickly overlooked with other naruto games that have good graphics such as storm 1 and 2
I meant wakeup supers. When your opponent is about to get up you pull out your super. You have to time it correctly. I understand bout Knjing combos but if you're opponent is good enough he/she can easily counter your knj thus leaving you open with less chakra. In GNT you can't just mash full combos, some combos have delays where you can disrupt them with your own combos or even jump out of combos. I'm a bit skeptical on the new GNT ex game even though the arc goes up to the tag team of raikage and bee but I've been hungry for a Shippuden game and Storm looks too good not to play.
around 40 to 50 seconds into the match you'll see me pulling off a wakeup super. This vid is super old

Assuming that I have my facts straight, characters were invincible during wake up in Ultimate Ninja Storm.
If you're looking for a competitive fighting game, you'll likely be disappointed. If you're looking for an immersive recreation of the Naruto series, or just a pick-up-and-play Naruto fighter, then you should be pleased with Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

I want to see Kakuzu wind style: pressure damage. Letting you use his hearts so freely is epic. Im amazed at Minatos awekening, you throw the kunai and teleport... THE REAL EFFING DEAL. I was happy about everything, but Madara awakening topped the game.
