The Zetsu Mega Convo Thread

Zetsu, along with Kisame, will have a fight and die eventually. There's team Snake and Konoha 10 to take care of it. Let's assume Kisame meets with his former village ninja, along with the Snake team. That leaves Konoha 10 to do something else. Since the Snake team isn't necessarily evil, I don't see why Konoha 10 would need to engage them. I am betting on Zetsu to end up fighting Konoha 10. Hopefully we can see more of Yamato and Hinata then.

zetsu has a split personality (human-plant or something)
obito died near that country (might be wrong here >.<)
obito had a single functiotning sharingan
tobi has a sharingan and a split personality

so the theory is:
madara is the one that fought with 1st hokage where the huge statues are
somehow 1st hokage managed to seal madara's spirit away
and madara needs an Uchiha body with a sharingan to invoke its full potential/power
zetsu found obito smashed under the rocks but not dead and fused his body with madara's spirit - and Tobi is born
at some moment Itachi learns that madara's spirit needs the body of uchiha to manifest himself again and kills all the family (or because the clan decided to side with madara) and believing that the massacre will make his brother strong enough to fight even with madara he leaves him alive. itachi himself joins akatsuki to find a way to get rid of madara or die trying (or to 'train' sasuke to do this)

lots of questions unanswered here but a quick theory with not much evidence, at least I hope its a good read ^^

As of Zetsu's role... Well I think Kishi just put him aside for the time beiing.. We are just too focused on Naruto's family and Uchiha story revelations right now!

true.. zetsu will be the last to fight.. he will eat up everyone's corpse.. tobi, pein, jiraiya,.. everyone who dies in the saga will be eatten up by him.. then zetsu becomes somewhat like majin buu from dbz or highlander tv series.. he get all their powers.... sharingan based, rain making, frog hermit from underground.. roar.. why else would he be eatting the dead when he can eat ramen or sushi?

Notice from Zetsu:

"Well errr...I got the taste for one guy and uhm...I gotta tell you it tasted good! So, yea...I started to eat more people...is that such a crime? I mean, they're already dead when I do it! Rule of manga is, when it comes to a group of enemies character fights go up in rank. Each foe is more powerful than the last. So, since Zetsu hasn't faught at all yet, he must be pure grass ownage lol.

I believe he is going to outlive both Itachi and Kisame and will be one of the last Akatsuki members to go down. For some reason, he seems to hold a high place within the organiation <to me. We already know he posseses a powerful dojutsu and can eat a whole person......and thats just the tip of the iceburg. Who knows what the guy is capable of.

zetsu will probably turn out to be scavenger like creature who hides the secrets of the akatsuki members while like kakuzu learning their skills and secrets while disposing of their dead bodies.
I'm pretty sure that is what kishi intends to do with that charcter otherwise we would not have been shown him eating corpses.

I have been thinking about this all the night, What about if Zetsu's ability is to use all the bodies he has dispossed and their jutsus?... that would be amazing.

What if Zetsu is absorbing the chakra, or atleast some of it off the people he eats?
At the Gaara rescuing arc, we see Zetsu use his longest distance to track people down, and at the same time he channels chakra into the Sealing Technique. This must consume alot chakra unless he has quite a big pool to take from no?

I've also been wondering if eating bodies affects his "evil twin", that his other personality becomes stronger for each person eaten. Maybe they will split up sometime? Or Zetsu's body becomes a "whole"? (so we can see his whole face and not just 50%).

This fella is such an interesting character that I'm dying to see him fight!

I've also been wondering whether or not they could split, but I believe he/they can control it at will. Since the group has that immortal thing going on, I was thinking the only way you might be able to kill him would be to kill both of his bodies at the same time.

And given the white/black on body, I wouldn't be surprised if his abilities have more to do with the Yin/Yang aspect, and not the elements such as water,earth, etc.

How consuming the bodies affect him, I don't really know what to say, though of course I'm sure it relates to his jutsu, as almost all the Akatsuki's abilities seem to be hinted from their appearances.

i don't think zetsu is very good at fighting...its presume that his range of scouting surpasses everyone at akatsuki but he didn't engage in the intruders in the gaara retrieval arc...nor with the 2-tail, preferably coming out only when hidan and kakuzu are done...

he is probably shikamaru's type of opponent...cat and mouse game with the emphasise on intellectual rather than brute strength...
