If he was going on break for a while, we wouldn't be getting three chapters at once, they'd run the chapters 1 by 1 while he was gone.

Holy crap? From the looks of it, Mest somehow manipulated EVERYONES thoughts and inserted himself into their memories. Holy hot damn, another antagonist for this arc?

I thought Mr. Death Touch would be enough but...this arc looks like it's going to be unexpectedly more badass then I thought.

So Mest might not be a part of Fairy Tail. He's searching for something on the island. I have a feeling the Master or one of the S-Class mages already know something is up. Mest has some sort of memory altering magic it seems.

Also I was correct about Gray being in a "battle". But I guess because Mest being there for ulterior motives meant he didn't care about winning. Which changed things up a bit. Is that Death magic guy still making an appearance in this arc? Seems we have a different foe to go up against.

My guess is that mest is apart of griomoire heart and is after one of the keys to unseal Zeref. Also i guess the original fairy tail guild master was one of the ones that sealed Zeref in the first place. He most likely put himself into a deep sleep so that when someone wanted the key they would wake him and then they would have to fight him for it.

Mest is very bad . Wendy is such a good girl , how can he do that to Wendy ?
Anyway , Charle is up to save her . Charle will carry her and while the brown cat would fight with Mest .
But so far , we dont know about Mest strength .
And Mashima said he'll release 3 chapters . I think there will be another , later today and 1 tomorrow .

He almost certainly isn't part of Fairy Tail. Besides that everyone's memories of him seem entirely made up, and that he's deliberately manipulating Wendy, he called Wendy by the same title as Brain did back in 202, and like Brain he's an outsider that knows of Wendy's connection to Gerard/Mystogan.

Maybe Mest is from one of the 2 or 3 remaining Dark Guilds (Tartaros, Grimoire Heart or Raven Tail)?

As someone said , he might be needing a dragon to help him to open the key , but steel and natsu isnt that innocent and naive to help him , so he went to get wendy.
