I'm just spoiled by Skypiea, Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs

Didn't watch the latest episode yet. Is it worth it to see dragon getting owned?

but when the samurai's of the Wano country were mentioned, in the anime zoro had a flash back to his battle with the samurai zombie that had brooks soul, that he obtained the sword from

i dont remember that flashback in the manga, or was it just me missing it....

That flashback was added in the anime. I suppose the intention was to refresh what we know about Wano until that moment.

honestly i have no major problem with this kind of filler , as it is just showing what was probably actually going through zoro's mind

and he has a very simple single tracked mind sometimes "sake, swordsmen, sake, swordsmen" lol

As for the episode, honestly I was satisfied. Hell, if they pick up the pace somehow I'd be even happier but that's not gonna happen.

Actually, the anime itself started ignoring it on the Merry's "funeral"...

I know it's a little late to comment on the filler episodes (didn't catch the last four episodes until just now), but after watching 577 and 578, I swear One Piece fillers are written and drawn by toddlers these days.

Anyway, 579 was subpar, to be honest. They really did overdo Usopp's... er, cowardice filler. His constant crying and blubbering and screaming takes up an astounding amount of screentime. He wasn't even cowardly in a charming way like when he legitimately was that much of a coward in the canon pre-timeskip. They simply needed a way to pad out the episode and the best idea their writers had was to throw out what semblance of a spine Usopp is supposed to have grown and show him mindlessly spewing snot for a couple minutes.

I concur that 580 was fine. Not particularly good, not particularly bad; just adequate.

Pretty nice episode again. Animation and drawings were both good this time and the fillers didn't hurt at all nor was it wrong to remix the chapters a bit.

I'm sorry, but it's perfect for a mad scientist like him, note that he's also the Seiyuu of Mayuri in Bleach, Indigo and Frieza as hoeru mentioned, besides doesn't CC look a bit gayish ? As if he came straight from a gay parade anyway hahaha just kidding

As for the Bleach you mentioned, never watched nor read it, sorry. My mangas are OP, FT, Naruto, Toriko, Shingeki no Kyojin a Doubt which I have finished reading. From animes only OP now.
