I really enjoyed this fight in the manga and I am pretty sure I will enjoy it every bit as much in the anime.

Was it just me or did the studio got an increased budged for the episode? Looked so much better than the last ones, it's sad that they have to spare so much for the end fights while it's one of the most watched series....

Didn't understand the beating of Megallo too, just didn't make much sense.

Hum...it was implied that Jinbei and the Strawhats had conjured up a plan to gain pro-human favor and Nami and Jinbei mentioned after Luffy appeared that "we knew he wasn't going to be able to stand iddle for much longer" which probably means that this plan involved them appearing at an specific time. I am thinking that Megalo was forcing his mouth shut, trying to stop Luffy from showing before the specific time as according to plan and Luffy started hitting him in order to leave the mouth.

You are missing the point. Hody the idiot has already revealed that he killed Otohime, wounded Shirley and shot the royals. Everybody was already chanting for Luffy and Co, so there was no reason to add such a situation of Luffy hitting Megallo. It did not appear in the manga, nor was there any hint that it took Luffy more than a couple seconds to come out.

Exactly. Megalo being hit from inside and Hody stopping his attack was not needed. The scene was perfectly portrayed in the manga and in the anime it while I admit that it was more emotional, it wasn't necessary.

Though I loved the movement that Luffy made when he had barely touched the ground after he came out of megalo's mouth.

That and their entrance was also amazingly portrayed in the episode.

I honestly wish that the animators do more than 1 chapter per week.

Even more in the attack chapter 464. They need to add another chapter or it will be as fillerish as it gets.

Heeeeh, what kind of mosquito did bite the studio this time ? The animation was good, and they actually made me believe Hody isn't half bad as a villain after all...

I get what you're saying now. This was one of the moments that I didn't notice the difference between the manga-anime transition. I did notice the way Luffy landed was different and the way some of the Strawhats were introduced too but Luffy hitting Megalo from the inside didn't really cross my mind.

I also didn't understand why the hell Megalo had to be hit so that Luffy can go out. That does not make any sense so as Hody stopping himself the execution to see what is going on inside Megalo's trachea, all the more after he spoke of Shirohashi's dumbness. Despise these big failures, the episode was good.

The episode was ok. There was too much of a filler, but still it was quite ok and the quality was at a good level, so I think it wasn't actually bad.
From the next episode the real fighting is going to begin and I hope they won't stall the action as much as it was during Marineford Arc as it will make the Arc worse.

I got to agree with you on this one. I mean I just don't get why all the moments when Luffy uses Haki just sucks. Why can't they make it epic like when Rayleigh used it in the auction house. Damn man, it's so disappointing sometimes. The way the fishermen were surrounding Luffy and moving towards him sucked, it seemed more like 2d props made of cardboard were attacking, I didn't get the feeling like that it was a threatening situation at all. Then the Haki blast just just ... It's like the studio stepped down after the ID arc. *sigh* I really hope the rest of the fights are done better than this.

More like they spent all their budged on the last episode. Fire the person taking such horrible decisions. Also all those weird faces again, why oh why. That's all there is to say.
