Just in case people missed it some days ago
New teaser chapter from The Winds of Winter
That's definately how it will go down in the series... there was already a scene in episode 2 that pointed in that direction.
a little off topic now... i found this neat artwork on the web
i tried to name all the characters on it but there are nine i couldn't really tell.
Maybe some of you can do better.
The ones you missed are probably Howland Reed and Arthur Dayne in the swordfight. The girl all the way to the right is Lyanna Stark. I'm not sure about the Man and little child. Same with the ones further up on that side, but the bald man in armor could be Areo Hotah The one next to Benjen Stark on the top left is Brynden Rivers.

Oh and that's definitely Lady Stoneheart...
I moved the posts because they have book spoilers
Ah, sorry about the double-post... didn't see you moved the first one.
Now I'm quite sure that the man and the child on the right are Jon Connington and young Aegon Targaryen. That would make the woman more likely to be Elia Martell than Lyanna Stark.
The bald man left to Tyrion should be Tywin... he even wears the Lion-armor.
The other one next to him could be Qyburn... not sure about this.
I also thought of Lady Stoneheart but that would make a double-appearance fur Cat since she is in the bottom left above Ned.

Qyburn is supposed to be older, yeah. But given his proximity to Robert Strong, who knows.
I still think that's Lyanna. Notice the Laughing Tree sigil hanging over her head in the tree?
And that doesn't look like Connington to me, he's a ginger. Plus Griff isn't bald, so I don't know.
And that's definitely Arthur Dayne. You can see Oswell Whent to his right and Gerold Hightower to his left. Didn't notice that before.
It is weird with Cat, but she appears to be wearing the same hood in both places, so dunno
The big man and the bald guy are dunk and egg.
the white haired man at the top left is brandon rivers, AKA blood raven, thats what the raven on his shoulder means.
Quite certain tyrion isnt the one you mentioned in the picture but I cant find the real one.
and the girl under the tree is lyanna, not only for the laughing sigil but also cause she's next to the blue roses which she is known for.
the man next to jeoffrey is probably tywin.
I cannot tell who the kingsguard knight is, nor who he is fighting, I also dont know who the man surrounded by the mountan and the hound is.
I'm pretty sure the kingsguard are Dayne, Whent, and Hightower. I'm only assuming it's Howland Reed fighting them because it was said he saved Ned's life and he's the only noteworthy person other than Ned to survive the encounter. There's no description of Reed's appearance, since he never appears in the story. Other than everyone always saying crannogmen are short.
Well, maybe it's the Smiling Knight? Though, if I'm the artist I'll draw him smiling for obvious reasons. But yeah, the best bet is Howland Reed.

AAAAAAAAND from the artist himself.
It could be actually, but it's such a minor character you only hear about that I sort of doubt it being the case. Add that with him fighting Jaime and Dayne, but not Whent or Hightower.

Why would Darkstar be fighting the three Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy?

And I thought that was probably Qyburn, but he is older looking with wrinkles and gray hair
If you actually look at it more carefully it seems the two are supposed to be of different scenes, just that the artist maybe tried to overlap the swords for symbolism, maybe.
And yeah, that was quite a guess with Qyburn. I actually looked at it for a long time for a guess but haven't got one.
Ahhh, okay. The sword does look sort of awkward with Whent's there. The perspective is screwed up and I guess that's why
I only guessed because he's responsible for Robert Strong
I love how the boar is called " the kingslayer", apt indeed.
Do we know anything about the 6th book's release date?
