Toaru Majutsu no Index II

I don't want to read inside those spoiler tags for fear of spoiling something good for myself later on but i'll take them to mean that if this anime holds on for another season or so i'll like what i see.

You seem familiar with the novels, do you know if most of the stuff from this season in the anime came from the novels or were these written strictly for the anime. Like the arc with the frozen ships for example, do you know if that was in the novels?

Pretty much all the arcs aired were taken straight from the novels, including the frozen ship/Italy arc, as well as those seemingly one-shot episodes near the end of the first season and the first episode of the second season. Those were all a part of the "Three Stories" arc which includes the part with Accelerator rescuing Last Order. For the most part, the anime followed the novels pretty well, but I think they took out some minor details here and there.

Just to give you a rough idea, the anime's current arc is on volumes 12-13, so it's pretty much about halfway to where the novels are at right now, while the next two Level 5s comes in during volume 15. Too bad this season ends on this invasion arc.

Yeah, that is too bad. Up until this last arc it seems like the series was just kinda wasting time. We really didn't get anything new about Touma or Index or anything at all regarding what Touma has forgotten about his past.

Well it should maintain enough popularity to warrant another season(i hope), as long as they get to that stuff eventually i'll be happy..

Yeah I think there is a high chance for another season since the second blu-ray of the series ranked number two after Oreimo and ranked 23rd in DVD sales during the Feb 21-27 week.

And I read in another forum that the light novel series is one of the most popular out there; within the top 15 or 20 if I remember correctly.

Oh and his memory loss is brought up later on when

Mikoto and later on Index finally finds out, both from two different members of God's Right Seat.

I'm not going to open that spoiler . I think the anime will suffice, but I'm glad to hear what Jammin wants will be coming ...

Anyone has seen the last episode? Accelerator defeating Kihara and Touma defeating Vento. Accelerator's transformation is pretty cool. This arc is the one I'm looking forward to the most. I was expecting Vento would be stronger than that, but seems like Fuse Kazakiri weakens her too much. And finally Acqua has appeared. Too bad he won't be fighting in this season, because this season ends with the SS novel the first one.

And the next episode is delayed..dissappointing. Well, Accelerator still appears on the next episode so maybe it's good. I get the feeling the last episode would not be really on climax because..

I'm not going to spoil for anime-only watchers. We just have to wait until next week.

Wasn't expecting both battles to turn out that way.
Touma battle wasn't interesting but it's still nice to see the fighting scenes and his arm is always awesome and wow, he always react so damn fast
Vento's story was sad and interesting, good to know she have a backstory, unlike most of the other villains

For accelerator fight, it was hard to watch. I always like him as a character so him getting beaten up was..
But then when he turn zombie and I'm pretty sure what kept him going was his will and resolve that hung on to Kirahara.
To be honest I was expecting an all out fight like the one in the opening but I guess this is okay too.
I think accelerator having the black wings will serve as a plot device later and he will get alot stronger, becoming what kirahara says, "an angel".
and wow, guy got shot out and up to the sky

That Acqua guy sure is a cool dude and he look really strong, I wonder how many god seats they are.
Seems like he won't be fighting in this season, so I'll have to wait for the next one.
This episode needs more Misaka action, but other than that, I'm satisfied

Yeah the wings play as a big plot device later on in his fight with

the second strongest esper, Teitoku Kakine

which takes place only two arcs after this one if I remember correctly.

Yeah, Acqua is pretty powerful since he is both a saint, like Kanzaki, and has his own powerful magic like Vento and the other members of God's Right Seat, although he's not the strongest of the group. And there are 4 total members the group: Vento of the Front, Acqua of the Back, Terra of the Left, and Fiamma of the Right-the leader.

I really need to read the novels. The story in the anime is so confusing! I mostly just watch it for the entertainment rather than the plot. Also, I like Touma as a protagonist, but boys does the guy preach a lot. Plus I'm getting a little tired of how he keeps winning all his fights by punching someone in the face !

Yeah. I still don't get the fact that the magicians are very weak physically so that punching them a few times will defeat them. Well, Touma is an idealistic hero that does many preaches but because of his Imagine Breaker he can destroy every ideals of his opponents. And you really have to read the novels because the anime cutted many things important from the novels. I recommend it to both you and Zeltrax.

Maybe I'll get started on the novel too, or I'll wait a year or two for season 3.
