What is this thread about?
This thread started in 2006 as a scan archive for Weekly Shounen Jump (WSJ) manga. It was essentially a place for all raws from WSJ that didn't have their own R/T/S threads here at MangaHelpers. Over the years, many members (including The Touch, xi0, Kylara, Asakura, Sai_the_Shaman, Waeyen, and Heiji, to name a few) have been helping out in this thread by scanning covers, ToC pages, previews, and sharing the raws they found or scanned.
With MH's upgrade to v2.3, there's no longer a need for a separate scan archive. This all new 20011 thread will be for you, the fans, to discuss whatever you like about WSJ! Predominantly, discussions will be centered around the ToC ranking that's posted weekly. You can also post the magazine covers and preview pages in this thread.
What is the ToC ranking?
ToC stands for Table of Contents. It's found on the last page of every issue of WSJ, but more importantly, the order the series appear in on the ToC is closely related to the popularity of the series. This is determined by polling the readers; there is a polling postcard in every issue of WSJ.
Click HERE for a list of all the current series running in WSJ. Each link will lead you to more details about the manga, and where you can find translations for all your favourite series! You can also find past series in WSJ by changing the Status filters on that page.

Cover, Lead CP: Naruto
CP: Enigma, Medaka Box, Sazitari (one shot)
It is said Sazitari is one shot about Kyuudou (Japanese archery).

Interesting bottom 5...Mago is quite low this time around. Good to see Enigma getting color again so soon. Lastly, isn't it time we started a new thread for 2011?
Wow... another colour? I guess they're doing it every other week.
Gintama (Lead CP)
006 (CP, One Shot)
Kuroko no Basket

Btw it also says that there is a "manga carnival" starting in #01. I guess it will be a series of one shots starting with Sajitari.
Yay for Enigma color again I wonder why Light Wing still isn't getting canceled.
But... Mago so low?! That thing about a manga not being in danger of cancellation even if it doesn't fare well on ToCs as long as it has good tankoubon sales better be true ><
EDIT: Oh and Beelzebub just missing the bottom 5 too :/ That sucks. Hope both Mago and Beel pick up in the rankings, especially Mago!
I thought Bleach was getting a color page with Issue 1?
Yeah. Weird how Mago and Beelzebub are so low, but it's to some degree because there aren't too many series in the magazine right now. Since two just ended and they've only put one shots in so far, no new series have started.
It certainly is odd that a bunch of series who have anime are ranked lower than a bunch that don't. (Well, I guess Sket Dance is getting an anime and that's fairly high.)
Speaking of which, the stuff shown at JSAT should be coming online soon. I think it was around this time last year, first week of December. The website says they added a Sket Dance thing to the tour after its anime was announced. Plus Toriko's 2nd OVA and the Beelzebub OVA should be in it.

Well, that's not news. We already knew that.
Ah, well... better go finish up the translating with the PREVIOUS series that still has like 50 episodes left to be subbed...
:/ Can't say I'm really all that happy about this, but for the fans that are, good news no? I assume that Sorachi must be nearing some sort of conclusion, because there'd be no point in bringing back the anime this soon unless they either INTEND for it to not very long, or they've been talking to Sorachi, and he's getting ready to end it. (Which as current events dictate, isn't impossible per se.) So we've either got a Hayate season 2 (Truncated to 24 episodes rather than the first series's 51) or a FMA Brotherhood, (Continues to end pretty close to when the manga does.) I sure hope it's the latter. >_> I don't want Gintama back for half a year to disappear for another one.
Oh and wow 2011 already. :-P I feel like a year just ran off with my money and time.

Here's what the Gintama announcement said specifically.
Aww Medaka dropped again. Sad to see it come down after a good month. I would have been more than happy had it swapped with Beelzebub at least but oh well hopefully it goes back up. I'm rather happy there is a color so soon at the beginning of the new calendar year though.
One Piece, Toriko, and Sket make me very happy this week. Bakuman is pretty high too.
Enigma is top 5 again and its getting color again. Jump must really be trying to pump it up as the next big thing for the time being.
Mago appears to be in free fall. Don't know whats going on with it but with what it has going for it so far it shouldn't be underachieving like this. Especially after all the promotion it got for 2010. Still, it will have OD and Light Wing likely go way before it sees any real danger since they never got out of the bottom 5 yet.
