Your right about Bakuman, it sells well enough and in my opinion way better than Toriko. And how WSJ is pimping out Toriko it ain't even funny no more.

It's obvious they're pimpin Toriko hard right now, it's years too early for people to be calling Toriko a part of the Big 3. It isn't even bigger than the competitors Fairy Tail (which is nowhere near as popular as the big 3) atm lol... I think Ao no Exorcist has a bigger chance of being that next big Shueisha hit than Toriko... especially after the noticeable increase for Vol 6 which happened just before the anime.
I think if Fairy Tail was in WSJ it would definitely do better than Toriko but that's just my opinion.

godland: looks like psyren in little bit cuter, only because of the creature/costum design. the main character (i suppose its the one with the blue shorts) looks totally typical shounen...

1700 Chapter of Kochikame that will appear in that issue. I thought it were "just" 1693 chapters at the moment but with so many chapters it's not easy. Congratulations for Kochikame, that's just awesome.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk

At first I didn't understand why Toriko, Gintama, Beelzebub, and Sket Dance were on the cover, but then I realized that they all have anime that recently started. xD

Congrats to KochiKame for a whopping 1700 chapters!

Godland looks interesting, I don't know how a mix up of kid characters and adults are going to work, though. o_O Also, Sasaki says that Jump NEXT is only availabe in Japan...does this mean I won't be able to order it through a Japanese bookseller in a foreign country?

Good to see some new Iwashiro Toshiaki work. Looks quite neat with the silly characters. You can clearly see his art but I do agree that the kid looks more shounen than the elmore kids all togther. Is this a one shot? Or a series?
The biggest virtue is to support these Seven Deadly Sins in their fight!!!

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk

Paser, the magazine for the issue after the Combined issue is almost always printed before Golden Week starts. Sasaki is simply giving us a sneak peak, as oppose to the magazine is on sale or anything.

Early sales, which is usually on Wednesdays, could be pushed up to Monday or even earlier, according to the 2ch spoiler poster T, but it's not going to be a week earlier.

We "might" see the ToC info on Monday, but that's about it.

    June Release Schedule:
    6/3 Naruto 56
    6/3 Bleach 50
6/3 Bleach Official Fanbook 3 Unmasked
    6/3 Bakuman 13
    6/3 Oumagadoki Doubutsuen 4
    6/3 Enigma 3
    6/3 Dois Sol 1
    6/3 Hetappi Manga Kenkyuujo R

Huh... Now that's fast... Databook 3 for Bleach

I really liked that cover for KochiKame...then again I think it also just gives off a bit of a "comedy vibe" with the characters celebrating Ryotsu. (then again Toriko is more or less action with slight comedy) As for what number it is, I guess KochiKame is so long at this point that it just gets it when it's near the number and they have time to give it the cover. As the old man of the magazine, it sort of has different rights compared to the rest of the series.

Godhand's cover looks nice. The character designs remind me more of Mieru Hito than Psyren, which is a good thing.

Godhand Company already looks really interesting. I hope it will be good, so that we will see a new serialization from Iwashiro Toshiaki. Psyren was quite interesting overall, and some of the arcs was amazing.

I knew that it will be Golden Week this week. But that twit made me confuse, so I asked. But in fact, it's true that editors have on first hand the printed magazine (like in Bakuman), so right now it's not weard at all. My mistake =)
