I think it doesn't matter in the movies, right? Its like with any other movies of other animes, that the movie plot doesn't need to be placed anywhere in the manga plot. The fact which the authors here put is: Naruto met Raikage before the latter went on the kage summit - the rest is insignificant in the movies, as usual

Not really. The movies never contradicted the manga. So me thinks that the movie makers talked with Kishimoto and know things we dont - one of them being that the Raikage will get his arm back. Not that hard to believe - he has Tsunade after all.

So, fat chance of him getting his arm back. When Kishi has his characters say something like this then you can be damn sure Raikage's not gonna get his arm back.

^ Haven't forgotten that. Quite weak evidence Id say, have you forgotten Kishimoto's interviews? NOTHING is sure with him. Even the things HE says are to be treated with doubt, so much less for his characters

And because either they are made out of goo or they find their arm and get it back.
Raikage's arm burned to a crisp and i doubt he has an additional arm in a fridge or something.

I guess they will just make this fight pre kage-con or something like Sasuke suddenly falls into a deep coma and misses the event,whereas Naruto goes there to fight for Sasuke's freedom.
Another possibility,which i would definitly prefer is that A managed to kill Sasuke in their fight and now Naruto wants revenge.

^ How can that be? The Raikage was obviously Alliance leader at that time, to be able to order Naruto's powers to be sealed. I dont see ANY way this can be made pre-kage arc. Its obviously targeted at the current (for the movie release) state of the manga.

I can already see the whole alternate reality thing happening. After all, Naruto has already traveled back in time. Nothing is impossible.

Is it just me or is everyone using prisons in their series?
I mean one piece did it, but its in their canon story.
and then Bleach did it with prisons in hell
and now naruto is doing it.
I'm not complaining though. it's a pretty awesome idea by adding the movie before the 5 kage summit.
I just find it weird with the coincidence.
The seals on naruto, I've never seen before. It's also to hold the nine tails in I guess.

No, not really. The Naruto movies so far has always seamlessly fit in to canon story in anime.

They are usually loose with this sort of thing in movies. Which is why we never hold moveis as cannon when we discuss manga

Even if a movie follows the same timeline as the manga and doesn't "goof up" anything, the transition is usually far from seamless

What I meant was the movie plot usually doesn't really contradict much of the anime canon. They usually insert the plot in a timeline where it doesn't contradict canon.

That's what I meant by seamlessly.
