After reading the translation, I give up on OG's logic. Baby's aren't steak you can't freeze them and unthaw them and they'll be fine. Add to that it was barely developed since Gazelle wasn't even showing. Unless OG believes women stay thin when they get pregnant.

She could've been in the first month or two of her pregnancy. Also there are reports of women not getting a baby belly when there pregnant so this is probably the case here.
