Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

I can already make a list, there are already so many good anime announced:
    1. Black Bullet
    2. Kawaisou
    3. Captain Earth
    4. Date A Live II
    5. Gochiusa
    6. Haikyuu!!
    7. Chaika
    8. Gaworare
    9. JoJo
    10. Love Live 2
    11. Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
    12. Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to
    13. Mekaku City Actors
    14. Mushishi Zoku Shou
    15. No Game No Life
    16. Nanana
    17. Sidonia no Kishi
    18. Date A Live II
If PV's look good, and I have the time, I might also watch:
    1. Akuma no Riddle
    2. Gokukoku no Brynhildr
    3. Daimidaler
    4. Mahou Shoujo Taisen
I still need to watch Date A Live season one. I added season two under the assumption I will like season one. If I don't, I will take it off the list. I put JoJo's Part I and II on hold after six episodes, to watch SYD before he winter season started. After Date A Live I will resume watching JoJo. I watched enough to know I like it enough to watch Part III.

There are so many series this season I am excited about. Mahouka, No Game No Life, and Mekaku City Actors are the new anime I am most excited for. Mushishi and Love Live the sequels. I am reading the novels of No Game No Life. It's pretty fanservicy, but the story is really good. The games are very clever, the strategy very will thought out. [blank] are great, intriguing, unusual hero's. After those, I am most interested in Black Bullet, Chaika, Gochiusa, and Captain Earth. Gochiusa is new White Fox, a new studio that apparently has never made a bad anime. Jormungand, Katanagatari, Steins;Gate, and Hataraku Maou-same are among there past anime.

Years ago I read the first chapter of the manga, still all that is translated. Very over the top, with a lot of fanservice, and general silliness. I'm not sure if I will watch, it kind of depends on how the PV's look. I am a big Nihei fan, and pretty excited for Sidonia no Kishi. Usually I don't like CG anime, but the animation in the preview actually looks good.

Im most hyped for haikyuu!! Its going to be amazing seeing karasuno in action and perfect voice cast.Hopefully it has good animation.

Mahouka second favorite for the season, I just hope its 26 or so episodes and not rushed.

Mekaku city actors, in love with the character designs.

Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

Mahouka has to be two cour. The Nine Schools Competition alone will probably take almost an entire cour. If they only do one cour, they'd have to end not even halfway through the arc. Enrollment Chapter probably takes six.

    For anyone who doesn't read:

Enrollment Chapter (volume 1 and 2) and Nine Schools Competition (volume 3 and 4) are the first two arcs of the series. Nine Schools Competition probably will require an episode per chapter, for most chapters. That is not the case for parts of Enrollment Chapter. Because of intro's and explanations, some of the chapters won't require entire episodes to themselves.

Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

I want them to at least do the Enrollment Arc, Nine Schools, and then the New Yokohama Incident at least, or maybe do the entire first year if thats even possible (but thats probably too much).

Im also looking forward somewhat to Black Bullet though with only six volumes of the novel how much could they even animate. In any event hopefully it means the ones doing the LN get inspired to do it, like those that did Tokyo Ravens did once that got going. Black Bullet seems like it was abandoned at the third chapter.

Captain earth for my mecha fix, and Ill at least give the tennis anime, Baby Steps, a try.

Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

It is already confirmed that it will be 2 cour. I don't remember the link though, but yes, it would be better to end at volume 7, I wonder if they'll adapt all the volume 5 chapters too. There is a lot of good shows for spring but Mahouka and JoJo are the ones I want to see the most. They better show the 3rd year trio and their VAs next time, I am dying to see Mayumi.

Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

Black Bullet is the star of the current chart so far for me. Hitsugi no Chaika and Mekaku City Actors also look interesting from the summary. Can't believe it that there will be a third season of Kiniro no Corda, I thought the anime version will be put at rest since the manga has ended. Guess I gotta check it out since I've seen all episodes previously, but mainly for the music though, lol.

Re: Spring 2014 Anime Preview Guide

Black Bullet does look very good. It is also near the top of my list. I wish more of the novel was translated. It is also a series I want to read.

Kiniro no Corda was originally an otome game, adapted to manga. I know that Second Passo was meant to promote one of the games, not the manga. The same is probably true for Blue Sky.
