That's an excellent point, are titans smaller than 15 meters capable of having humans inside them? For now, I would say no. We need more hints...

I think those titans are just human experiments gone haywire, failures with weak wills. 15 meter titans typically have some degree of intelligence from what we have seen so far, regardless if they are humans or not, they are at least smarter than their smaller counterparts. 15 meters at some point had strong wills, but lost themselves as time went on, and thus reverted to the mindless berserker titans that we see now.

But even so, what's the difference between a 3 meter titan and a 15 meter titan? Besides intelligence.

Another interesting question, could babies or children potentially turn into titans? (Some titans walk on four legs like a baby). Although, that premise makes the theme a lot darker.

The one that intrigued me the most was the 15 meter class that tried to comunicate with that lost female soldier in the side story, it said 'ymir-sama' and looked really sad, then it lost control again and ate the girl.

I'm not sure about the 3 meter class yet, there is still much that has not been revealed. Interesting idea about babies and children being turned into Titans though. It would not only explain the 3 meter class and deviants (children and teens), but also explain why some Titans act completely infantile. Very interesting idea.

The next question this theory raises is where all of the unintelligent titans come from. It seems fair to assume that most of the intelligent ones come from within the walls. Maybe not all, but at least a good percentage. But the unintelligent ones are to numerous to come from within, if that many people went missing someone surely would notice. And any of these titans would have to transform outside of the walls, as none would be coherent enough to let themselves out, like the female titan was able to do.

The Titan that ate Ilse is still a bit of an enigma. My best guess is he was at least intended to be an intelligent titan, like the Female, but was struggling to maintain his consciousness and identity. It is possible Ymir is the one who administered the serum, a leader of some sort. With no villains introduced it is a hard question to answer, but that is my best guess.

I just caught up again after being behind for a while, and wow, this manga is just getting better and better. Really looking forward to seeing how this manga goes on from here

With all this human experimentation and the ilk, it's reminding me more and more of FMA!

Just like how prisoners were being used for human experimentation in FMA, maybe these unintelligent titans came from people whose disappearance no-one would notice. Prisoners, orphans, mental patients in an asylum? The latter might also explain why those titans are "unintelligent".

I'm curious about who the real antagonist of the story will be, but in any case, the series is still a fun ride.

Regarding the unintelligent Titans, I think they were experiments. Perhaps Eren's father is the key to all of this. Could he be the one responsible for the Titan movement?

Eren's father injecting him with the serum so he could turn into a titan definitely points to that. Even if he wasn't the key person behind the titans, it's certain that he knows something. Either he found documentation on how others had done it (and for some reason recreated the serum and injected his son with it), or he was the scientist behind it all. It's definitely suspicious that he disappeared before the colossal titan attacked. When Eren and the rest finally reach the basement, more pieces of the puzzle should fall into place. Meanwhile, as to the location of Eren's father, I wonder if he is out beyond the walls (among the titans, creating more titans), or if he is in the safest place furthest from the titans - within the innermost wall.

Im surprised to see that manga is a shounen, while reading it i thought it was a seinen. How are the releases? weekly, monthly or irregular?

Monthly. I also was (am) surprised it is a shounen. This mange definitely has a lot of potential, shame we got to wait 1 month always though...

Content does not really have much to do with demographic. They are just marketing terms, letting advertisers know what products to take out space for. A shounen magazine might have video game ads where a seinen magazine has ads for cars.

Keep in mind the magazine it is running at generally does offer a more different fare for those unaware Kami sama Iu no Toori by Fujimura ALSO runs in the same magazine which is even more gruesome and dark than this series. The monthly magazine is still quite young but I like the direction they're aiming at by adding these two series, which so far as my friend says would be a main reason to purchase the monthly magazine, that has been a hit for them. Regarding releases of the scanlation as noted earlier already the new scanlation team that picked this up, TDX, is quite quick and acceptable quality.

Speaking of magazine publishing Kodansha will be bringing this to the US if I recall correctly can't wait to buy the manga, but I hope it doesn't affect scanlations X.x

Back on topic chapter should probably be out by this week I really can't wait until the Eren vs Female titan battle at the moment he at least has the upper hand by getting a jump on her. Real mystery of this fight IMO is whether or not they will be able to capture the female titan, ideally it would still be the best outcome as at the very least it would help to give meaning to the deaths of the soldiers especially those who just died.

Scanlation out now~ Not a lot of dialogue on this chapter as it is mostly a pure fight so I'll just go and post my two cents.

Well that was an awesome fight! I don't believe the female titan toyed with Eren considering her movements appeared to be sluggish and exhausted at times but her fighting style and clear advantage of experience fighting as a titan (and obviously as one hell of a soldier) outshines Eren's brute strength. I'm really not particularly sure for those guessing that the female titan is Annie since frankly this one stands out too much as a veteran, I daresay one that we may not have seen yet. There is strong intelligence and resourcefulness to the way she fights but more importantly she clearly has battle experience, put another way she's clearly not a rookie like Eren or Mikasa.

On another note woo~ Looks like we'll be having Mikasa back on the spotlight and taking action and probably together with Rivalle. Eren well clearly will live since the only parts that appear chopped off when she chomped him was his legs, but is this possibly a way of delivery for them? Also I am totally voting for this page:

I don't think she was playing with Eren.
For me it looks like she didn't want to fight Eren, she even seemed surprised in some scenes when Eren in rage started his attack.
A nice fight by the way. In the end her hardened skin abillity and superior fighting style was to much for Eren's brute strengh to handle.

I wonder if we will see Mikasa fighting the female titan next chapter...

The first few pages of chapter 29 could easily be misunderstood... if you catch my drift lol.

Eren put up a nice battle, and it did seem like the female titan didn't want to fight him. She was looking at him in an almost "caring" or "knowing" way. But how did she slice Titan Eren's head off? It looks like Eren saw something or someone who cut his titan head off, perhaps the female titans accomplices.

I'm hoping for another evolved transformation by Eren while inside the female titan. Remember the first time Eren was swallowed by a titan and was on the verge of death panicking, that was the first time he awakened his titan powers. Perhaps, something similar will happen in this case.
